Where to begin? My boyfriend’s family is full-on from D.R. They don’t like going out of their comfort zone. When I tell you every single one of them enjoyed their food with gusto… wow. We came here as a pit stop for food on our way back to NJ. Also, they are wheelchair accessible and super accommodating. Pro’s: if you meet a guy named Turner, please feel blessed. That guy was the sweetest and sincerest. Seems like he loves his job and what the place is all about There are no words, just meet the guy and you’ll see for yourself. Overall: The food was fantastic. I swear the food is made with extra love. You also can tell how much the staff cares about the place with the atmosphere and the knowledge of one another. The owner is from Louisiana. The prices were reasonable due to economy and you couldn’t beat those seafood prices. We spent approximately $120 not including tip. Reminder, we got 2 appetizers, 6 entrees (3 being seafood), and 1 dessert. Only side note, if you do not like Cajun, this might not hit the spot for you. (P.S.) we forget the picture of the shrimp salad, but it was 100% approved by all.

I received an incorrect order today. My sides were left in an open bag on the counter, while they corrected the meat in my order. I called and spoke to the manager concerning the preparation of my fish. I explained that it was very mushy and not edible. The entire time I spoke she repeated, “I apologize that that happened”. Very condescending behavior!! She also stated that when fish is left too long it will sweat. The plate was handed to my son once it was prepared, so it didn’t have time to sweat. Excuses are unacceptable management responses and she needs training. I advised that I didn’t want a refund, but the restaurant had to do better. This is not Louisiana cooking! The gumbo has disgusting tasting sausage and the beans in the red beans and rice are deplorable. Needless to say, I trashed the food at a nearby Publix. Stay away from this place. It was a waste of money! Had her response been sincere, I would have only made a phone complaint.

Being born & raised in Louisiana, imma need y’all to take the Cajun and Louisiana words off your menu. Respectfully, because don’t disrespect my state like that again. This taste is for… well yk who type of people. I was visiting and tried this place, as prior reviews stated. Bland, unseasoned, and undercooked. 1. Gumbo - The roux is not rouxing. And the smell of it is hideous. Also very thin on the roux. 1/10 (The shrimp was good.) 2. Jambalaya - Taste like a yellow rice box mix from Walmart, mixed with meat, just for the rice to be soggy as hell and not seasoned. 0/10 3. Red beans - I took one bite of. Threw it away. The sauce is not even red. They don’t even have hot sauce… 0/10 4. Cajun chicken - Nothing Cajun about it, not crispy, not seasoned, batter is to soft & wet. Not spicy. I threw it all away. Overall, if you want anything to taste like Louisiana. Just go back home & cook. Waste of $42.

I patronize this establishment at least once a week or so because their food is EXCELLENT and usually their service is as well. I have been bragging about Big Easy to my friends and introduced them to it. But yesterday (Sunday 04/23) was the worst experience I’ve ever had there. I took 2 of my friends there who had never been before along with another friend who has been there a few times and he was there Saturday. One of the servers came and took our order. She was very very pleasant. One of the other servers apparently didn’t get tipped from a party as we overheard her telling the server who took our order. Apparently our server was busy and the server who didn’t get tipped proceeded to bring our food out…. with a VERY NASTY attitude. She didn’t know which dishes went to each of us and when we attempted to tell her she started snatching the food off the table and taking it back to the kitchen. This happened twice before she started yelling at us from across the restaurant. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! So we got up and left. To add insult to injury she went on the patio and started talking about us to another party. Again…. UNACCEPTABLE!! My biggest regret is the initial server apologized and tried to make things right. But it was too late. I wish one of us would’ve had cash to tip her and hopefully I will see her again to do so. I’m not going to allow one bad experience to overshadow the great experiences I’ve had there. But I’m also NOT going to tolerate rudeness and not speak out about it!! My suggestion to the server who didn’t get tipped by another party is don’t take your frustrations out on other patrons. You caused your co-worker a stressful experience that wasn’t necessary and you created a loss of business. We all have unpleasant days and unfavorable experiences but that doesn’t give us carte blanche to be rude and nasty towards others especially as it relates to...

We’ve been loyal customers of Big Easy for years. As a family of six, we’ve always enjoyed the food and service, and we’ve often brought along extended family and friends to dine with us. One of the things we appreciated was that we never had to worry about making a reservation — we could always count on being welcomed and taken care of.

Today was a special occasion: our son’s graduation. Since it was nearby, we decided to celebrate at Big Easy with our close family and friends — a party of 20 people. We arrived around 1 PM on a Monday to find the restaurant largely empty, with only a couple of guests seated on the patio and some patrons at the bar.

To our surprise, the server immediately told us they could not accommodate us — without even attempting to check with the kitchen or management first. No “let me see what I can do,” no effort at all. Eventually, she went inside to speak with someone and came back with the same answer. She began listing off policies about gratuity and one check for parties over six — which we agreed to without hesitation — yet she continued offering excuses, saying we would “take up over half the restaurant.” The patio, again, was nearly empty.

Frankly, it didn’t feel like a logistical issue — it felt like we simply weren’t wanted there. I don’t like to bring race into these situations, but in this case, I have to wonder.

In the end, we took our group to a nearby Mexican chain restaurant, where we were welcomed without hesitation. It’s disheartening that a small, family-owned place we’ve supported for years turned us away so easily — and on a slow Monday afternoon, no less.

You lost more than just a check today. You lost loyal customers who have supported your business time and again. We will...

Visit us for all the awesome eats around ATL and more @ T_vfooduniverse on Instagram.

Friday we visited @bigeasygrille and we have to say it was a let down. The food and drinks were average all around at best.

Here is what we had: Cajun Queso ❤️❤️❤️ Queso with alligator sausage and not much of it. This was the best thing we had and it wad average at best. Not much different from an average queso.

Gumbo ❤️❤️❤️ It had all the ingredients of a great Gumbo with none of the flavor. It had fresh seafood but the flavors were missing. We have never had to add salt to any Gumbo we have ever had anywhere else.

Crawfish Po Boy ❤️❤️❤️ Again, fresh seafood but very very bland. It's a shame because the French bread used for the poboy was awesome.

Quarter Quench ❤️❤️ This drink was a waste. You expect a punch from New Orleans style drinks and this had none. It was like drinking kool-aid.

Overall, there was nothing terrible about this restaurant but nothing exciting about it either. The lack of flavor in the food was very confusing consider it should be creole/cajun. If you are looking for great cajun/creole just ask there are other places we can point you!!
