Tldr: Great place to pick up authentic Asian food. Most of their soup noodles are just okay to me, so I don't recommend any of those. But everything else is banging delicious.
Watercress- cooked just right till tender and seasoned well
Chinese broccoli - Steamed but still quite crunchy. I personally felt they were still too hard, and the fried garlic bits really carry it in terms of taste/texture.
Salt and pepper brussel sprouts - fried really well, actually felt like it had a lack of seasoning though but I don't mind since I generally like brussel sprouts and it was a good texture.
Mushroom spinach Garlic noodle - not as heavy as I expected. I normally find garlic noodles to be too oily or buttery, but this one retained a sharp garlicky taste. Like, punch you in the face garlic taste. The noodles are on the thinner side but cooked well to keep it's firmness. Overall seasoned well. There's very little spinach in it, but a good amount of mushrooms and the mushrooms are also well salted and meaty. A good amount of noodles as well, would recommend for any garlic noods lover.
Fried calamari - super crispy, lightly fried so the batter coating isn't too heavy. Comes with a side of sweet sauce that compliments the fish.
Grandma's BBQ pork - tender without being too fatty, and well sauced, a must for any Chinese chashu lovers.
Bone marrow garlic soup - soup itself is super rich and hearty with an abundance of garlicky taste. Great for a rainy or cold day. Although I felt the noodle choice for this dish was not the best, and it is difficult to pick off the meat from the bone, overall it was okay.
Hainanese chicken rice - chicken is super good, juicy, tender, lightly sauced and delicious. The chicken rice comes in a huge mound, too generous for the amount of chicken there is. Our batch seemed a little dry and I found it lacking in flavor. If the rice was not dry the whole dish would have been great
Nasi lemak - coconut rice is fragrant, shrimp chips are nice and crunchy, roasted peanuts add a nice nuttiness, pickled carrots/cabbage help cut the heaviness, fresh cucumber is a great palate cleanser, spicy sambal onion, which is quite spicy but savory sweet deliciousness, along with your choice of protein. I got the beef rendang. It was more tender in my memories, but otherwise fine. Overall one of my favorite dishes. I would highly recommend if you like Singaporean/Malaysian food.
Jasmine green milk tea with honey boba - good tea, the honey boba was sweet but the texture was disappointing as it was on the mushier side. Perhaps we got an old batch of boba.
Napkins - very good for picking...
Read moreWe were simply out looking for lunch when we stumbled upon this restaurant. The menu had several promising options, so we thought, “Why not give it a try?” Unfortunately, we quickly discovered why not. We ordered quite a variety to get a true sense of their offerings: crispy pig ears, Szechuan beef noodle soup, roti canai, honey butter shrimp garlic noodles, nasi lemak curry chicken rice bowl, and Szechuan wontons. Out of all of it, the only remotely passable dish was the curry chicken rice bowl—and even that was underwhelming.
Everything else was a masterclass in mediocrity. Most dishes were utterly devoid of flavor, and the few that had any taste relied solely on heat—spicy for the sake of spicy, with no depth or complexity. The crispy pig ears were flavorless. The Szechuan beef noodle soup was equally bland. The roti canai was so overcooked it was brittle, paired with a curry sauce that was downright unpleasant. If you’ve had the roti canai from Hawkers, you’ll understand just how embarrassing this version was by comparison.
The honey butter shrimp garlic noodles? The shrimp was competently cooked but somehow managed to taste like nothing at all. The noodles themselves were so aggressively garlicky that garlic was the only discernible flavor. Even the milk tea boba was a letdown—barely sweetened, and not in a refined, subtle way, but in a “did you forget the sweetener entirely?” kind of way.
Then there was our server, Lily. She made multiple comments about the quantity of food we were ordering, repeatedly remarking, “That’s a lot of food at this point.” Let me be clear: what we order, how much we order, and how much we eat is none of your concern. As long as the bill is paid, your unsolicited opinions on our dining choices are neither needed nor welcome. You’re a server, not the food police.
For a restaurant to be Michelin recommended yet deliver food this lackluster is baffling. Even the plain white rice somehow managed to taste unpleasant, with an odd, dirty undertone. To make matters worse, both my dining partner and I were left with a metallic, almost blood-like taste in our mouths afterward.
How this establishment stays in business—let alone maintains a 4.5-star Google rating—is beyond me. I would not return, and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone with...

We chose outdoor. Walking through the inside, it's easy to see it's a nicely decorated, modern, open air space. The patio was comfortable and clean, too.
Menus come out and look like magazines. Kinda fun and interesting. I loved being able to see pictures of lots of the food before ordering it.
For appetizers, we ordered peanut chicken satay, Thai chili tofu, and samosas. All were enjoyed. My favorite was the samosas - so tiny and crispy with a nice sweet dipping sauce! The tofu was also silky, though not especially spicy imo. The chicken satay had nice flavor but I thought was a little rubbery in parts.
For entrees, we had as follows: roasted spinach and mushroom garlic noodles, Grandma's bbq pork tossed noodles, nasi lemak curry tofu, and I wanna say the wonton mee noodle soup (can't remember the exact name since I didn't order it - it was a soup with bok choy and wontons though, and this one fits that description).
My dish, the mushroom garlic noodles, was tasty. Not quite as good as I was hoping for, but it wasn't overly garlicky, instead pleasantly aromatic with heaping amounts of chewy noodles. I would've liked a little more spinach, but the mushrooms were cooked very nicely. I didn't try the tofu dish or the wonton soup dish, but they were plated beautifully (as were all the dishes, really) and my friends said they really enjoyed them. The star of the night was the grandma's pork noodles. Slightly sweet, slightly chewy noodles, and the most deliciously fatty, crispy on the outside, pork. It was SO good. My friend that ordered this dish raves about it the entire rest of the long weekend, so it was a hit!
Other highlight was our waitress. She was adorable, so friendly and sweet, and stayed right on top of keeping our drinks topped off. Extra nice, she was willing to split our check in four and even divided the cost of the appetizers four ways. That had to be a pain in the butt but she did it quickly and without complaint. Major...
