The third time was clearly not a charm. I hate to leave a bad review, but unfortunately this place is well deserving. I came just a couple months after they opened, the food was good, but the service was terrible. I came again about six months ago for a birthday party of 18 people. I called over a week in advance to make sure they could accommodate, and they assured that they could. Again, food was at least decent, but the service was terrible. Several items were incorrect, and drinks were completely slow and incorrect. Tonight I visited again for a date night and it was par for the course. We were seated almost immediately, as soon as someone showed up at the door. This was not surprising since there were probably a total of three other parties in the mostly empty space...btw, the ambiance is nice!
Once we were seated it took about ten minutes for a server to show up for drinks, which I think is excessive when the place is empty...plus you're leaving money on the table not operating efficiently. We ordered drinks immediately, along with food because we had a while to figure out what we wanted to eat. Our first course came out before our drinks did, which was a little annoying, but not surprising, since we have experienced this place before. We had our first course, which was a salad, that was tasty. Our pizza showed up shortly after our first drinks did. The challenge was that we had no plates to put our pizza on and the runner who brought it didn't hang around long enough for us to ask. Our server was very distracted by focusing on one or two tables at once, back and forth to the computer, before making a complete round to us. I would think since our food had recently arrived, our server would be attentive to anything we needed, but that was not the case. It seems a simple concept to make a sweep of all of your customers at once to maximize efficiency of keeping people happy and their drinks filled. Again...leaving money on the table for the server and the business in general.
We finally got to order another round of drinks. This round took over 15 minutes to show up, and we were basically finished with our food. Again, now with four tables to attend to and an empty bar, I wouldn't think this a difficult task. We finished, closed out, and were on our way. There were three delivery drivers waiting, who we previously noticed had all been waiting for a while, so maybe the take-out/to-go business is keeping them going. It is a shame to let this place wither away with such a great venue and good food. Get your people in check and your business will grow...
Read moreFirst, let's start with this view of Marietta Street we had from the "Garage" area. It is basically a high top table open to the outside of the restaurant. Amazing!! Perfect for warm or moderate fall weather. We enjoyed it.
The customer service was great at this restaurant!
Now, what we ate:
Colony Pizza ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Red sauce, ezzo pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and honey. This was the best thing we had on the menu. Those pickled jalapeños sneak up on you to add some extra spice you don't expect!! The honey glazed on the pepperoni adds a tiny bit of sweetness to counter balance.
Big Mozz Sticks ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Fresh made, and good. Kinda hard to mess up.
Big Ang Pizza ❤️❤️❤️ House made vodka sauce, ricotta, double pecorino, Meatballs, and banana peppers. This was good, but would have been great if it wasn't consumed by a giant dollop of ricotta. The ricotta was too much and we had to scoop it off to taste the other facets of the pizza, which is a shame because the Meatballs and banana peppers were good.
Chocolate Pudding ❤️❤️❤️ When it says a bowl of chocolate pudding, that's what they mean. Good, but don't order this. You can make this at home.
All and all a good experience and a great place to enjoy some unique pizzas with a view.

My sister and I visited Emmy Squared on a Saturday evening for dinner.
Food: Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. For our appetizer, we had the cheesy garlic breadsticks. I loved the unique addition of parsley pesto and the spicy tomato dipping sauce. So good! I tried to eat just one but I couldn't! For our main course, we ordered a large Colony pizza, one of their signature pizzas. I'm sometimes iffy about honey on pizza, but it was just the right balance of flavor and not too much sweetness. The large size was more than enough for my sister and I to split, and we both had some to take home. We also ordered a side of waffle fries, and they had the perfect level of crispiness without being hard. They were served hot and delicious.
Service: We were promptly greeted and seated at a table. Our waiter was kind and checked on us appropriately as we ate. All of our food came out in a timely manner. We wanted to add a topping to half of our pizza and they did it for us. We also wanted to switch the type of liquor in our drink, and they kindly accommodated our request. At the end of our night, we spent about $40-something per person. We felt that was more than reasonable for an appetizer, a drink pitcher from which we each got three pours, large pizza, fries.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is super cute. Great for a girls night or date. It's airy and large enough so you're not crammed right next to another table. We arrived around 5:45-ish and there were a lot of available tables. By the time we were leaving after 7, more people were trickling in and tables...
