ATLANTA SERIES 🍑🍑 I know we hate to admit it, but summer is officially over y’all! So it’s time to find some fun indoor activities, @slingshotsocialatl is perfect for that. They are a full service arcade with games, bowling, axe throwing, & more. They have a full bar, with a really cool self serve beer wall. We saw so many couples on dates & a few birthday celebrations, so this spot is perfect for literally anyone trying to have some fun! Make sure you check them out and let them know know Links In The City Sent you ✹ * * #atlnightlife #thingstodoinatlanta #atlfoodie #atleats #atlantaeats#atlantafoodie #exploreatl #exploreatlanta #atlbar #visitatlanta #discoveratl #litc #linksinthecity #blackfoodblogger #atlfoodporn #atlfoodscene #explorepage #explore #blackfoodies #foodiesofinstagram #placestoeatinatlanta #mysecretatlanta #butteratl

Okay so after many screenshots I’ve taken and ads popping up on my Instagram to check this place out, a couple of my friends and I finally decided to go. First off, it’s decently located, I was worried about parking cause we all know Metro Atlanta/Downtown Atlanta parking gets weird, where I parked was free and my car was still in one piece when I came back to it, also they have security that make rounds here, so that’s a plus (this was on a late Friday evening/night) The arcade itself was cute, it has a lot more lounge space than game space in my personal opinion. I thought there would be more games but all the games I preferred were there so I wasn’t mad at it. The person manning the front desk was not friendly at all, it was our first time so we were unsure of the check in process and began to ask questions; mid question they just pointed us to the card machine, no hey, hello, nothing, not even a “right over there.” I work in C/S (customer service) so I’m big on C/S and I did not enjoy being treated like a bother immediately on arrival but I digress. Let’s carry on. The drinks were a bit pricey and did not give what it should’ve gave for the price. The drink was the size of a double shot (I did get it w/o ice so that may be taken into account but even the cup it was given to me in was somewhat like a shot cup lol) and tasted like juice and I believe we paid about $13 each for drinks, so we were one and done on that note. Also the bartenders took a very long time to acknowledge us although it wasn’t that busy, but they were kind though. We played a few games but as stated before there weren’t that many, at least not many that were fun AND operable. Several of the games were O/S (out of service) or you could play them but you couldn’t earn anything from playing them because they were “broken”. Not sure if the bowling was available cause that area was kinda dark and closed off so we assumed it was inoperable or closed. We spent about a good hr there before getting bored and leaving. Didn’t try the food so I’m unsure of the taste & pricing on that. The bathroom was spacious, mostly clean, very well lit. Overall, it’s a decent lil spot if you’re going on a quick date night or quick hang out and don’t want a long outing; it’s just enough to keep you entertained for about 2 hrs or less in a low pressure environment. Would try it out again for a date night or quick meet up but not for an actual night out or event.

I went to Slingshot yesterday with friends for my birthday . We got there a couple hours after they opened on a Saturday barely anybody was there which was perfect. You do pay to park but it’s not expensive (we paid $6 and carpooled because we knew there was a fee ) The parking is literally in their parking lot so no long walk . Only one game we tried didn’t work at all that wasn’t labeled out of order . Most of the games were up and functioning. The staff was amazing and great customer service . It’s not tons of games but it’s enough for a great time ! The arcade games are pretty inexpensive. You could get a $20 card and have a great time . I would recommend duckpin and big skeeball (i think that’s what it’s called ) that’s a total of $10 to play both of those . The food & drinks was the higher ticket items but food and drinks were good and no long wait . I would recommend going before the crowd to get the full experience and have a great time . The prior reviews almost made me not go but I’m so glad I went ! It was great place to celebrate 🎉

I am extremely late
. But I had to make sure I did a review for Slingshot ATL. I went here for my birthday in April, on a Friday night.

Go go go! I had the best time, my friends had an amazing time. Definitely 5 star rating for me.

To start off from the beginning, reserving a section was smooth. The only way to make a reservation is through email on their website. Maureen Witmer assisted me with my reservation for 20 guests. She explained in detail all their package deals. At the time, it included a game card for each individual with a complementary bottle of champagne for or section.

Arriving to our festivities. It was a little hard to find, but once we located it there was a good amount of parking. The only thing is you have to pay for parking and we were unaware. Thankfully, one of my guest walked out and saw that they started booting cars. Unfortunately, only one of my friends had to pay to have the boot removed. Just make sure y’all look for the parking sign to pay.

Chelsea greeted us at the door and took us to our section. While we were waiting for more guests to arrive. We had a few people trying to sit in our section, so Chelsea kindly brought over reserved section signs. Of course we had that one that did not want to move out of our section. Thankfully Chelsea & Jeremy, the managers handle the situation smoothly.

Thank you Chelsea & Jeremy for handling that situation and the additional complementary you gave me😉. You both provide great customer service professionally.

The facility was very neat and clean. The food was amazing, I forget what flavor wings I had
but honey they were bussin!

They had a variety of games that we enjoyed. Including the large connect 4. My list can go on.

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to Ocean, the DJ. She played EVERY song I requested. My friends and I danced all night.

Slingshot ATL is definitely a must add to your list. Thank you Maureen , Chelsea , Jeremy , Ocean and Slingshot for making my birthday special. My boyfriend and I...

HONEST REVIEW:

I planned an outing here for friends and family to celebrate a birthday due to social media posts and
 mehhh đŸ«€

Food/drinks: Very limited food menu (literally boneless wings, fries and pizza
that’s it). Boneless wings were $17 for 12 and an extra $3 for fries đŸ„ŽđŸ™„â€Š who came up with the pricing because, $20 for 1 chopped up chicken breast and a handful of fries is insane. Drinks were decent but kinda sweet and some in my group said their’s weren’t strong.

Atmosphere: It was HOT
literally. It lowkey felt like a sauna. Everyone I went with complained and was fanning themselves with the bar menus at 9pm đŸ˜©. Did I mention it was pretty empty? Absolutely no reason for it to be that hot
at all. Please fix the A/C.

Games: As far as the arcade games. We expected more. Several didn’t work and there’s not that many to choose from (you can play them all in probably 15min). The skee balls machines only had one with actual balls in it to play (only 3 balls), the basketball games had shredded basketballs (literally the skin of some of the balls was hanging off đŸ«€). Also, the bowling area wasn’t available for use. Did I mention some of the games didn’t work 🙃.

Service: I mean, I can only speak to the bartenders because that’s the only people they had working besides the kitchen staff. They were nice.

Overall, probably wouldn’t go back. Don’t believe the hype on social media đŸ„ŽđŸ«€.

If you want an arcade-like adult hangout spot
just go to Dave and busters late night or something. This wasn’t it. Gives more of a “let’s go play cards kinda vibe and maybeeee hit the arcade if we feel like it”
 not a night out...
