Two of my favorite foods on this green Earth are falafels and potatoes. I'm grateful to the folks here at Grecian Gyro, where my favorite fare is treated so expertly.

The guy who took my order was fantastic. I thought our order was fairly simple, but he took the time to produce a dizzying array of customizations. Did I want the falafels in balls or a patty? Original sauce or spicy? S.O.P or S.O.S?

That last question was in reference to the sauce ('Sauce on Potatoes' or 'Sauce on the Side'). It's what Grecian Gyro deems an important enough decision that their shirts have it emblazoned across the back. I knew I wanted S.O.S, but when I couldn't decide between the original or spicy, the gentleman kindly offered me a sample of both (with freshly fried potato wedges!) so I could make an informed decision. I was moved by his patience as he took my order, as though he, too, wanted me to have the best meal possible.

And how was the food? Superb. The falafels were fried to a toothsome crisp, without becoming oily. The dressed salad and warmed pita made perfect accompaniments, so much that I found myself not needing any sauce (I needn't have labored over that decision after all). Surprisingly, the potatoes were the star of the show. They're curiously cut into half moons shapes and fried to that magical space between baked potato and crispy potato. They were generously seasoned with oregano and a judicious salt hand, making for some beautifully herb potatoes. They were good enough that my husband and I fought over the last ones on my platter.

There's seating space galore here - window stools, two- and four-tops, booths, and outdoor patio seating with umbrellas. We sat in a corner booth so we could pig out unashamedly.

And pig out we did. As we trudged out with happily sated bellies, I found myself all too happy to agree with the Grecian Gyro's missional encouragement to "Eat Greek...

This place is wonderful. Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is warm and friendly & they make you feel at home. I eat here whenever i work in the area. One Friday evening , i placed a to go order as i was leaving work. The girl on the phone was most courteous and friendly. When i arrived, she greeted me by name as if we were old friends. I swiped my card seconds after i walked in because my order was already waiting for me. I was impressed with their efficiency, as well as their customer care already, but then came the real kicker. My card had paid for only part of my order. I ran it again. Embarrassed, i pulled another card and began to dial my boss. Apparently my pay had not posted yet on this Friday afternoon. Before i could get someone on the phone this adorable, tiny, sweet girl who took my order stepped in front of me and swiped her own card!! I asked her what she had done and she casually told me she had paid for the rest of my order!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! I was totally shocked! It took me a few seconds to process this random act of kindness from the employee. I had tears in my eyes when I promised her that I would return to pay her back. She turned an awkward situation into a precious memory and proved to me that day that there ARE still good people out there. Above and beyond good customer servuce dont you agree? Sweetheart, i dont know your name but again I thank you. You didnt have to do that. You didn't know me. You didnt bat one of those long eyelashes at an opportunity to help me out and that shows a kindness greater than i rarely see out in the world. I will never forget that day , you, or this restaurant! As i drove home, eating my delicious baklava, I thanked God for your thoughtfulness. This girl needs a raise!! Oh and the food...

Was in the area for work and stopped in with a colleague for lunch on a Thursday around lunch time. The location was not too busy inside. A few people sitting at tables, a few people waiting on online orders. The staff behind the counter greeted us immediately, and asked to hang in for a few minutes while then caught up on online orders that needed to go out. Seemed like maybe they were a bit behind on orders, the staff did seem a little frazzled. We placed our order and grabbed a seat to wait for our food. Had to wait about 10m for our order to come out. I had a gyro bowl and it was excellent! The meat was very tasty…I was supposed to have a lettuce base but the staff member that took my order out it wrong and it came out with rice. We did not have time to send it back and get a new order, so I just did not eat any of the rice. I added in spicy feta, olives and mushrooms and chose a mixture of both sauces. The bowl was so good, I would have left a five star rating if they would have not gotten my order wrong. Price was a $35 for two people with tip. Saw that the location had a nice little outdoor patio dining areas with tables and umbrellas. We stayed inside where it was a little cooler, but it did add to the charm of the location. Next time I am back in the area, I will...

I've had a lot of Greek friends, I think they'd approve of this place. They'd definitely approve of the music, which totally took me back to some crazy memories. The staff was cool, polite, and got the food right out. Menu was legit Greek and easy to read. Whole place was spotless clean and staff was busy cleaning when I came in. I had the Souvlaki wrap with potatoes. It was good. Not the best I've ever had, but I've eaten at rural tables in Cyprus. I'm biased and spoiled. I liked the sauce on the potatoes, but I'd take it on the side next time. It was too salty for consuming that much. Wasn't able to finish the potatoes. I'll be back! Overall a good experience.
