If I could give this “church” 0 stars I would. This place has traumatized me beyond belief. I’ve been a Christian my whole life and have never had an issue with the church until this place. The treatment that I experienced from the head pastor at the time was so bad that I denounced my faith for months. They recently got rid of their corrupt head pastor who I tried to warn many of the members about at the time a year ago but no one stood up for me or seemed to care even when showing them receipts of what the pastor said to me. The elders failed to check the pastor at the time. Im not sure what finally happened to where the head pastor left but glad that corrupt man is gone. I came to the church about a situation of ongoing abuse from one of the people on their leadership team and they handled it horribly. That person still works for the church to this day. The leadership at this church is so unstable. Many of the leaders here owe me an apology for what happened. This place claims to preach from the Bible but then goes against everything they talk about. Way too many fake Christians at this church. More than I’ve ever met in my life. Please do yourself a favor and run from this place. This church is filled with people who are very religious and only care about their image. There’s a reason they only have about 50 members and aren’t growing. There’s much better churches close by like Christ Covenant or Elevate City who actually have strong leadership...
Read moreI’ve been going here for about a year and a half. I was having trouble finding a church in Atlanta that truly preached the Gospel, cared about the community, and desired to continuously grow in God; until I found Midtown Church. The church is small, and is very welcoming to newcomers. I immediately felt like I belonged the moment I stepped in. Some churches struggle with being cliquey, but this one doesn’t have that problem. No church is perfect by any means, but this body has become a great family and Christian home for me.
The elders of the church are amazing, and provide sound guidance to the body here whenever we need something. The leadership in this church has been admirable, and I’ve got to see people grow and continue to learn from our mistakes, in Christ. One of my favorite things about this church is that they preach directly from the Bible every day, going through entire books of the Bible directly, split up over several weeks.
Everyone here earnestly pursues Christ and continues to attempt to be as Christlike as possible, whether seen by others or not, which is rare these days. I’d highly encourage you to come check it out for yourself and see what you think! We’d love...
Read moreMy wife and I moved to ATL about 3 years ago and didn’t really prioritize finding a church. After about 6 months of being unhappy, and having passed Midtown Church on Deering many times, we started reading online about the Church and decided to visit. We were intrigued that in Atlanta there was a church with membership under 50 but immediately felt we were home. Our first day there, every single person at the church spoke to us and the Preacher, Todd, and his wife, Barbie, personally invited us to coffee later that week. Everyone in Midtown church strives for you and welcomes you into the family. Being a member here has made my walk with Christ better. We have learned so much about Discipleship and truly put it to practice. We have learned so much about Christ’s vision for marriage. We have learned so much about how every relationship in our lives represents God’s love for us. The connections built here are amazing. The culture is magnetizing. Midtown Church is a small church with people whose hearts are blessed by God and are a...
