We dined here for my sister's 30th birthday. Upon arrival, we were told it was a valet only lot and we had to tip to park or park across the way. We were initially told there was a 25 minute wait and after leaving the parking lot for a quick errand, not even 5 minutes later, our table was ready. We were sat a booth by the bar and the tables were cleaned and had a white cover ready. They also included a bucket for the scraps which had utensils, wet wipes, gloves, and bibs. Our server was really kind and brought us some menus - specials and regular dining options. The menus were clean and the server wrote in sharpie on the paper to mark our order.
I got the rum punch and it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't too strong but you could taste the alcohol and all of the fruits like pineapple and peach were really tasty. My partner go the fish bowl which she did not enjoy at all. It was bitter because of the candy they put in it (nerds and Swedish fish) and really coconut forward so she couldn't taste anything else. My sister got the kettle blossom. She liked it since it's pretty sweet but it was a little watered down because there was way too much ice put in it.
Our food came out pretty quickly so we only waited may 10-15 minutes and it was right after our drinks came out. Everything was hot (except the fries) which was nice but the sauce itself had a weird vinegar or lemon taste to it which was too overpowering to even enjoy. It was so sour. The actual seafood was fresh and juicy. Our crab legs were small but the shrimps were nice sized and not overcooked. The seafood itself was seasoned really nicely. The only thing we didnt enjoy was the lobster. It was rubbery, and stuck in the shell so it was impossible to eat. The portion size of their specials was rather large, especially for the price. For the 3 of us, we only added one additional lobster tail to our snow crab, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potato bags. The special also came with coleslaw, white rice, and fries but our fries wasn't brought out right away as they forgot to bring it to the table.
The ambience was pretty chill. They had the music playing but not to loud. The experience wasn't bad but based off of the food/ drinks we probably...

The Juicy Crab 1715 Howell Mill Rd NW Atlanta, GA 30318
Combo 9 (CAJUN – HOT) 0.5 lb Snow Crab, 0.5 lb Crawfish, 0.5 lb Sausage, 3 Eggs, 1 Corn, 1 Potato
The Meal: The seafood, very fresh and full! Being a Louisiana native, this was a huge plus in my book. However, I was disappointed in the flavor the shellfish embodied. Even though everything was fresh, clean, and prepared well, there was no depth to the seasoning used, the restaurant whole heartedly relies on their name.
When boiling seafood, we’ve learned in Louisiana it’s best to season the water first and foremost. After everything has boiled and cooked down, then you MUST LET IT SOAK. This will ensure a deeper taste throughout the seafood itself. The only “flavor” that was noticeable was the butter and black pepper, and even that was runny and remained at the bottom.
I’d have preferred more consistency in the sauce. You should be able to scoop the sauce, like I mentioned previously, it was rather thin and unsatisfying. The butter/oil was overbearing, I did not eat the sides in the bag. Also, the lemonade was bitter and watered down.
The Atmosphere: Great place to go to watch the game. Gives a sports bar vibe, although it’s family restaurant. Wouldn’t recommend bringing family on the weekends. It’s a wide space but very limited.
The Service: The server was pleasant, funny, knowledgeable, and provided great service to the sports bar-like atmosphere.
FINAL GRADE: C –
The slightly average grade is due to the watery “seasoning base” and lack of flavor. For improvement, the company should emphasize soaking the shellfish and add more creole seasoning. I’m a down south, Louisiana Native; we don’t drench our seafood in butter and black pepper. We also add sugar to our lemonade. However, these were some of the fullest crab legs I’ve had in...
Read moreMy friend and I wanted to enjoy some seafood so we chose this location hoping to have a better experience than the last. When we ordered our drinks I asked the waitress about the fish bowl drink they had on their menu and it was priced at $13. We both ordered a fish bowl for ourselves. Long story short we got the bill and the fish bowl was $18.50. We questioned the waitress about the pricing of what we saw versus what was on our receipt. She simply told us we received an old menu and proceeded with payment without fixing the issue. We asked for the manager and when he came we explained everything and my friend asked if he would accommodate us since that was the price we saw and he told us no. We began to become upset with him because it didn’t make sense nor was it our fault the menus were not updated to the accurate prices. He continues to make us reasons as to how it was our fault and not theirs. After I spoke up about his poor customer service skills he than changes the ticket. As we are about to pay for our food the waiter comes and stands next to us and we told her one moment and she states her manager wants her to stand there because he thought we wouldn’t pay for our food😂 after this bad experience I will never eat at Juicy Crab again no matter the location. The Manager at this locations name is Dennis and he was horrible and doesn’t care about the idea of what customer...
