Today was my third time coming to this nail salon and it was my last time coming to this location. The first time I got my nails done here, I loved it. Had great service and I left a nice $10 on my nails because I was very satisfied. I decided to come here again on Monday ( 9/18) for a sns manicure and a regular pedicure. This time, the service was not to great. I was sat down in a pedicure chair with my feet in warm water for 15 minutes waiting for someone to do my pedicure. No foot soak. No bubbles. No type of communication. Im just sitting there. I got irritated and left due to the lack of customer service. Fast forward to today ( 9/21) I go back and give them another chance since I really liked how I was treated my first time going there. Still wanted the same thing, a sns manicure and a regular pedicure. Things are going well, I picked out my colors (black and white ombre on my nails and black polish on my toe nails). The nail tech insisted I do a black and glitter ombre as opposed to the black and white ombre I asked for. I obliged. I like glitter, no biggie. I asked the woman who was doing my toes if I could get a checkered pattern on my big toe and she said yes. I notice she painted my big toe all one color and asked her about it again and she said she forgot but she will do it. She puts the top coat on and leaves. Im thinking she went to go grab the materials to do the checkered pattern but no. I glance over and I see that she's doing a manicure for someone else. I asked Vinny about it and he said that she said she doesn't know how to do that and that she asked someone else to do it. None of this was communicated with me. A woman comes over to do the said design and she has absolutely no idea what a checkered pattern is. I google an image and show her and she says she doesn't know how to do that. I honestly didn't think painting lines and filling them in could be THAT hard. Ive had entire faces painted on my nails before but whatever. I tell her to just do a simple white line on the top. The lines are crooked and aren't even on both toes. I let this go because summer is ending and I won't be having my feet out much anyway. At the end of it all, I heard Vinny (the man who was doing my nails) say it would e $60 all together, $35 for my nails and $25 for my feet. I had no problem with paying this. When I approached the front to pay, the woman told me it would be $77. $77?! I had no idea where this number came from. Vinny then comes up and gives me all these excuses. He charged extra because my nails are long, although last time I wasn't charged extra and my nails are the same length. Then he said it was extra because they had to take the gel off. Again, I wasn't charged extra last time. Then he finally says the ombre is an extra $15. Now, usually when you go somewhere and you ask for something "extra" they let you know it'll be an additional charge. This was never communicated with me. If that were the case I wouldn't have gotten the ombre. Now Vinny and I are sitting up here going back and forth. Im telling him Im willing to pay $60 for the service but not the $77 he's asking for simply because I wasn't informed that painting half of my nail would be an extra $15. To make matters worse, last time I got my nails done here, I got the chrome nails. When I told the woman thats what I wanted, she informed me it would be an extra $5 and I said okay. Vinny then says he'll take a few dollars off for the confusion. He kept trying to give me "discounts" for a mistake he made. We went back and forth for about 20 minutes, he's threatening to call the police and Im more than happy to explain to them the problem. Security comes and ask whats going on, I tell him. He asked Vinny if he told me at the end that it would be an extra $15 and he said yes. I then offered again to pay $60 for the service, take the color off and do my nails one solid color or I leave. I ended up paying $60 and being told to never come back. They have horrible customer service and I don't recommend this place to...
Read moreI recently visited the visited the Howell Mill location and was highly disappointed. I waited two hours to be seated and the quality of the food was not up to par. I do not like to complain or send my food back and even paid for my meal. When asked if we enjoyed the food I stated no! My friend asked for the manger to share our experience because I hadn’t eaten any of my food and she had sent hers back to get it reheated. The manger came to the table and automatically had a defensive approach. In the process of us explaining our experience, he stated we should of said something earlier. Not once did he apologize or listen to our concerns and implied that we were just trying to get free food. The waitress already had our cards and we wanted to share our experience in hopes that someone else would t have to experience this. At this point my friend states she will just take it to corporate and attempts to take a picture of his name tag.The manager launches at her and tried to knock the phone out of her hand. The manager then threatens to call the police and has the waiter who has our credit cards go the the back in the kitchen. He tried to hold us hostage and at that point I was ready to go and simply file a complaint. I went to him politely and asked if I could please be given. My card so I could leave. He stated that he doesn’t have my card, doesn’t know who has it or who my waiter was. I’ve been in the food industry for over ten and a general manger of restaurants and his behavior was unacceptable. The way he carried himself was very unprofessional and does not represent the company well. I will be reaching out to corporate and take this to social media and bring attention to this matter. He showed no concern for our experience, lacked customer service skills and should not be in the position of leadership. I have been to other locations and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had and I am very disappointed. I brought my friend out for her birthday and we were racially profiled the moment the manger came...
Read moreJune 3, 2025, I took my daughter to La Parilla for her 27th birthday at her request. The service was GREAT from quick, easy and reasonable outdoor and indoor seating, to friendly and helpful staff. They sang their little birthday song during the meal (which my daughter usually hates) and they gave her a sombrero to wear for the remainder of our dining time.
We sat in the outdoor patio area because the breeze was awesome that evening. Our food was prepared quickly and was served hot. I ordered the flautas with brisket meal. (under the Tex Mex section) I requested melted cheese on top (which I regretted because they gave me liquid cheese when what I wanted was either shredded or crumbled cheese then put in the oven to melt). Everything was very tasty and filling. Her birthday was on a Tuesday so they had half priced margaritas and we indulged heartily. The drinks were big, delicious and they did not skimp on the alcohol. My daughter ordered an enchilada dinner and my grandson had a kids meal. With three meals and 3 drinks, my bill including gratuity was only $60. Heck, at any other place the 3 drinks alone could have been $60.
You’d think in this day and age a young woman of age 27 would want to be out at a club with her girls to celebrate her birthday. But my daughter said she loves this place. She said when her brother (my son) was in ATL visiting her last year, they came here and ate and drank for hours. They are several locations but the one we patronized is located on the 2nd level of the District at Howell Mill shopping mall area and there is plenty of parking directly in front of the restaurant
I can say I will definitely be back and I’m gonna aim for a...
