Sooo I didn't have a good time here which really disappointed me because I was so excited to go to a place where I could have both these great meal options at the same time. Our issue was mostly service related but also cross contamination and just cleanliness. The service we got was strange I don't know if we just visited on a bad night for everyone but you would have thought we came in spat in someone's face and then asked to be serviced. First we came in and host asked how many of us there were then turned, grabbed menus and started to walk towards a table so we followed. We get to the table he turns see us and goes "oh I didn't mean you, I meant the other group." How were we or them supposed to know that? You were talking to me then went to a table and didn't even address them but ok, weird thoughtless mistake. We went back to the front and they sat the other table and sat soon after. We are looking through the menu trying to see how everything works and since it's our first time here we naturally we had some questions so we waited for our server...and waited...and waited. It had been quite a while and we were starting to wonder if we didn't get a server, like if we're supposed to get up and stuff ourselves since we say a few people at other tables get up and come back with spring rolls and other things. We grabbed the host that sat us and asked if we get a server or if this is some sort of self service. He seemed confused about why we hadn't gotten a server yet the frustrated as he went off to find our server. We were starting to wonder if we should just leave at this point but I was still hopeful for a good dinner so we stayed. Finally our server arrived! We got to ask our questions and put in our order. We found out we get up to get sides and sauce. I have nut and shellfish allergies(important for next part). So I go to get sauce it's a little confusing because there are so many and I am not sure what anything is. They have little signs with names but the don't line up with the sauces correctly so I am trying to get kbqq sauce but it's apparently right next to peanut sauce and I can't be sure which is which. My friend also points out the other guests must not have been careful at this station because a lot of the sauces had bits of other sauces in them too so anything could have peanuts in it! So no sauce for me. We sit back down and the start bring the meat and vegetables for our soups. They toss the plates on food on the table and walk off... we are looking at the plates and becoming confused the things we ordered were all intermingled. So we are trying figured out what everyone asked for and separate the food so each of us has a plate of what we asked for when we see my vegtables are on top of my friends shrimp.... my friend gets our server and asked for my vegetables to brought back out reminding our server that I have shellfish allergies so I can't eat those vegetables now. The server explains that since we all put our orders in at once, like you do at resturants typically all of the food just comes out plated any kind of way so that is why we had to sort or food and vegtables were contaminated. Then she went to get me fresh ones. The meats were hard to tell the difference between the meats the were tossing at us and again they just toss them and walk away, they didn't say what anything was. So we had to ask our server which as wasn't sure...so...yeah. Our server forgot us as parts of our orders often. We had to request rice over and over and over fir some reason to the point that my friend just kept saying rice everything she stopped at our table. Finally got it when we were more than half way through our meal. The stack of plates on our table were all dirty. And for some reason the bathroom stall had 3 full mini trash cans in it, like one got full and just grabbed another trash can rather than empty the one that was already there. The kbqq portions were strangly small you would think they were serving a single person not a group. The There were other things but I think this is a long...

Might as well post on google since nobody would listen on the phone. Let me start by saying I never leave bad reviews but A group of friends and I came to celebrate my friends birthday. We were missing one person so for that I apologize but the way that our table was handled I will never come to this restaurant again we sat down at 7:44 PM. Nobody spoke to us nobody gave us water nobody said be right with you. They cleared off the table next to us set a two top and gave them water immediately that was at 8:02. Once I saw the table next to us receive service I reached out and say excuse me, nobody’s been to our table yet the server looked at us said I will find your server and in comes Marquice. He asked us once have we been there? Did not explain the menu thoroughly and I had to interrupt him and say excuse me can we get some waters. He says yeah, absolutely but then proceeds to rush us to choose our meats. I had to tell him again we’ve never been here. Can you explain it to us. We finally get the meats situated in our drinks come by then we’ve got in our server Maggie, who had a trainee. They bring us our drinks and everything is OK but they bring a shot of Hennessy that we didn’t order we ordered a shot of the El Jimador to be precise. When we send the Hennessey shot back, Marquis comes back to the table and says hey remember you ordered that Hennessey my friend says no I ordered a tequila and he says well that’s OK. Hennessy and El Jimador is the same price I have been bartending for over 13 years and I know for a fact Hennessy in El Jimador are not the same price but I’ll let it go. Nobody explained the sauce bar. The only reason we knew that was over. There was because one of our people went to the bathroom and saw it. We were at the table and asked for extra plate the server we asked pointed towards the sauce bar and told us to go get our plate. No one came back to refill waters. Nobody asked me if I wanted another drink nothing at the beginning of the meal. I told Marquise it was my friends birthday wasn’t expecting nothing free maybe I happy birthday let it go until I saw Marquis lead a line full of people to another table and some of them happy birthday. By then I was super irritated and ready to go. I asked Maggie for our checks and she said she could only split three ways that was perfectly fine but I still wanted to speak to a manager when I asked to speak to a manager my keys came back to my table. I proceeded to tell him how disappointed in how irritated I was at the level of service I received at this restaurant. I made sure to point out that it Jimador and Hennessey are not the same price anywhere he ended up changing the Hennessey shot price from $12 to nine dollars so make sure that you check your tabs because they are lying to you about their prices when they mess up a ring they want you to pay for the comps, so I guess they won’t get in trouble with management. I saw the gratuity added for parties of six some more and I have absolutely no problem with paying gratuity because that’s how i take care of my child. I took pictures of both menus at the table and one menu Says 18% in another says 20%. If the service was up to par I would’ve had no issue paying 20% but the fact that the service was so horrible we were ignored and we were lied to about pricing I was upset. I don’t like the fact that y’all have handheld computers and Marquis Took my card and walked away, but swiped everybody else’s at the table then he was trying to get us to add more gratuity on top of the gratuity. Luckily I’ve dealt with handheld, computers at restaurant I worked at and showed everybody that the 20% was extra he was trying to get us to press on the handheld. I’m so disappointed about how we were handled and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I come in contact with about this place. I’ll def be reaching out to some of the members at my country club in the area to warn them to. I’ve also reached out to KPOT on Instagram and wrote an email. Make sure you check...

Save yourself the headache and go to iron age.

I had the experience of going to this location last night and had one of the worst service experiences that I have ever encountered in an Atlanta establishment.

On April 12, 2024 at 10:20 pm, I entered the establishment with my party of 3 expecting no issues as I have eaten here previously. Upon entering we were already met with side eyes and whispers as to whether we should even be seated. This is fair considering the kitchen closes at 11:30, but the hostess said we were “just in time,” and to follow the gentlemen to our tables. As we knew we were late we didn’t want waste any time so we promptly ordered all meats, drinks and vegetables as to get them to the table quickly before the kitchen did closed. Unfortunately, a multitude of things were missing from our order, but we chose to not to continue to ask after a second time. We spent around 30 minutes eating, before the waitress(unfortunately I don’t have her name) came back around to tell us that the kitchen closed in 20 minutes so if we wanted to eat anything else it was time to choose now. We got a couple more meats and in the process of choosing she turned our grill down( which we had turned up before because it was on 320 and our meats were not being cooked efficiently; I personally turned it up to 360 before her doing so). Causing us to wait even longer for meats to cook. 11:30 comes around and our waitress places our check on the table. My friend asks “Would we be able to cook our last meat on the table? it’s okay if not,” in response to this our waiter looked all of us in the eyes and simply walked away with the check in hand, essentially ignoring what she had said. We collectively watched her leave and wondered why she hadn’t given us an answer. Ten minutes later the manager walks up to us in a very accusatory manner, asking us about questions from the point at which had gotten in and up to that point. He asked and said think like “So no one told you guys that you would have to leave at 11:30?” Our response, “We were told the kitchen closed at 11:30.” “Well you guys have a lot of food on the table and we don’t do to go.” We never asked for anything of the sort. “You all seem well manned so I am not going to say that you’re lying.” If we chose to address the situation differently would we still be lying? “Well you’re the last ones in here to have this much we just need to make sure.” Saying this after the fact of asking to grill one meat and other patrons still sitting inside the restaurant at other tables.

After this interrogation went on for about 5 minutes and my party having to defend ourselves we were eventually given the option to finish our last meat, which we refused because no one wants to essentially be guilted after eating food that they paid for. After this altercation, when receiving our checks we also happened to notice that a gratuity of 20% ($10 from each of us) was added to our bill. The restaurant policy states that this should only be applied to groups of 5+ and we only had 3 people in attendance.

This restaurant has proven to have bad service, scamming mentalities and overall should reframe their standards on who they choose to hire. I will never be eating at this establishment again and will not be recommending this to other people in Atlanta. Go to iron age instead, at least at that location they allow you to eat the meal already in...
