My colleague and I ate here and was literally forced to tip and was subliminally threaten and forcefully treated. The service was terrible we had to ask for silverware, drinks, and our check. The assistant manager suggested we use the app to pay. We concluded our order on the app and tip the lowest amount. Since my colleague took care of the bill, I was going to tip the additional. Taylor ( the waitress) elevated his voice and said “ where is my tip?”, are yall going to tip?” He stood in front of my friend blocking him from standing up. I explained to Taylor we tipped on the app, he went to his pos system and called us liars loudly . He then loudly demanded we open the app . The app receipt had not populated and showed “ pending” status. He claimed it was because we did not tip. I explained we planned on cash apping additional since one of us paid. He with an antagonizing tone said “ yall gone tip me” and proceeded to try and take my colleagues phone. We literally were scared he would hit us if we did not prove we would tip. The scariest thing was members of his crew including the manager watched and did nothing. I understand the financial hardships that fall on our restaurant work force, but had he understood the misunderstanding with the app in conjunction with our contingency plan he would have been happy. To be fair the tip was out of respect of the work force not for their work ethic. If we did not feel bullied into tipping we would have left the original tip, kept the additional and reached out to corporate. Finally there was tree waitress trying to overwhelmed my patient. As we were reading the menu, the tree waitresses kept approaching our table to see if we where ready to order. They were rushing us. Finally we ordered. The food was not anything like in the menu. My patient was not able to chew her bacon omelette breakfast because it was hard, and the steak omelette was horrible because the pieces of steak on the egg was gristles and more gristles. My patient wanted a strawberry shake and they did not have any so we had coffee instead. At the time of departure, one of the waitresses presented us with the receipt. We prepared to pay for our meal, as I hand my receipt and my card to the waitress for the payments of the meal, she checks out and hands me the slip for the signature payment and to add a tip for service. My patient refused to tip so I scribbled the section for a tip. Waitress responded with anger towards me and said. You are not goin to tip me, and I said No because this is my patient card not mines. She asked why scribble the tip section. I replied, so no tip can be added to her card. Waitress asked, Why we where no tipping? I replied the food was not prepared well. We get our food which was brought by the black female manager approximately 367lbs with black glasses. I begin to tell her what was wrong with our order and she gave us attitude and nasty caomments. I even asked for a removal of the grits because they had butter on them she said “ she already ringed it in. I then asks to have one removed. She still said no. After telling the server I was contacting district the grits were removed. My chicken biscuit & pancake orders were also incorrect. After requesting for a remake I only got it for the pancake and the manager loudly said “ NOT FOR THAT TABLE ! “ and went on to say more nasty things. She even said “ Contact them - imma still be here.” I paid for bad service and incorrect food. This is the worst ihop oven been too during my 15 years of coming here. I am very disappointed.
