Security and feeling safe is a big deal nowadays!!!Took my family to Ponce city market for the first time(The market downstairs was amazing ) and I spent over $500 in combination with what I spent at the market downstairs and upstairs in the park.unfortunately, while we were at the park upstairs two families near us started arguing and it got pretty heated but instead of the security upstairs diffusing the situation they stood around and watched the argument get worse to the point where threats were voiced. Our family decided to leave early and went to the area where the elevator was But there was about a 30 minute wait to get downstairs with no other option to go down.To make matters worse, the two families that were arguing were allowed to go into the elevator wait area which created a lot of anxiety among all the other guests. To make matters worse, another two individuals started arguing and threatening one another including a possible gun threat and that is when security finally took it serious and got it right by taking one of the families downstairs the one of the other elevators and taking the person that threatened with a gun down the elevator by himself.I applaud security for finally getting it right but it sure highlighted the fact that if something were to seriously happen upstairs people would have no way to get out of that area very quickly. It’s really a shame, the place is beautiful but security is lacking strategy and a plan of action for situation like that. I will not take another chance with my kids and family at sky park again..I tried calling sky park management to address situation but I got no...
Read moreWe are from out of town and wanted to take our family to do something fun outdoors. Went there intending to have dinner & let the kids play games. You are required to pay $10 per adult and $7 per child to simply go upstairs. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children, ie $54 just to ride the elevator to the top. I have a 12 1/2 year old son with autism who is nonverbal & I asked if someone would mind escorting us up to show the rooftop and let me ask him if he wanted to stay or not. I asked for a manager when the young employee told me we would not be able to do that. He said the manager is just gonna tell you the same thing. I assumed a manager would understand the unique situation so I asked to speak with him anyway. Well ...... the young boy was correct. The manager told me he would not be escorting us to the top and that children with autism come all the time and it’s helpful for them to just watch a video on their website. I was appalled at his inability to have any compassion for the situation and I can only hope that one day someone comes into his life that he knows and loves who has autism and he can reflect back on that moment and simple request and think if how he could have handled it differently. We didn’t want anything for free...... just simply wanted to show him what it was all about on the rooftop and see if he was interested. Really is shameful to think there are still human beings in positions of authority in our world who lack compassion...... he shared that his name Eric Allen was his name btw and was very confident and bold about...
Read moreTotal rip off. We paid $60 for two tickets with unlimited games and were there for less than an hour due to lack of interest. We went around 6pm on a Saturday because the website says it's 21+ after 5. There were still children. We came because we wanted to play mini golf. The course is 18 holes but is super small (think 1/2 of a basketball court, maybe smaller) and the holes aren't very fun due to their lack of obstacles. Some of them were literally just greens with slightly higher AstroTurf to make a curve in the course. Many of the obstacles they did have were repeated, so therefore not very fun or interesting. Whatever you do, don't hit the ball even the slightest bit (we are talking about hitting the ball 5 feet) anywhere on the course because the ball will go straight over the AstroTurf, and over the non existent barrier of the mini golf course, straight into the major thoroughfare of the rest of the park. Then you will find yourself scrambling to get to your ball before someone slips on it. The rest of the four games are completely juvenile and run by employees who couldn't care less about running them. We won a game and received a ticket, but to be honest, it kind of added insult to injury looking at their pathetic wall of made in China garbage toys that will literally end up in the landfill 5 minutes after leaving the place. Let's be real, this is basically a rooftop bar not a place to go play games. We don't drink and pretty much wasted $60 just to find out that drinking is pretty much the only real "amusement"...
