Update- Came back 3 days later to try Pizza. The bread is perfect/ingredients fresh. Could use more flavor/seasoning. Good value for authenticity. C-Town sauce helps pizza. Tostada perfect. Peach cinnamon roll best I ever had-wow. Got two to-go. Empanada amazing. Loved the lady peas and creama. Lump crab dish was not it. Bacon jam pizza was delicious, but I was expecting the onion jam to be more sweet like jam. I should have ordered an extra marinara sauce on the side. Chicken and waffles were delicious, the chicken is thigh and not breast meat. This restaurant is absolutely in our top spots. Full, enjoyed, fair prices, great brunch, authentic, great service, clean restrooms.
Parked in the neighborhood on the street close by. Nice neighborhood vibe spot. Thought it would look more Asian but it’s American vibe W/inside & outside seating. Servers are super cool. Carey was oh so perfect. Good drinks, I like the hibiscus soda.
Brussels-10/10. Perfect crisp and seasoning
Fried Mushrooms- 9/10 very tasty with lemon pepper wet. The fried crispy outside breading can be a lil more than the mushroom but we ate it all-so good.
Wings-great flavor-C Town Spicy. 8.8/10. A lil dry like they were rewarmed. Small wings. Could be a couple dollars less.
Rou Jia Mo-Burger 10/10 love the house made bread. Duck fat puts wow flavor in that fresh grilled burger. Perfect toppings. Only $12. Add that to the menu.
Mongolian Fried Rice or chicken fried rice-10/10 Tender beef, Love the fresh peas and corn in the rice. Has pineapples in it. Perfect flavor and taste. Hot and fresh. I’d order again. Chicken option didn’t have pineapples and it was amazing also.
Chocolate Biscoff Cake- Wow. Best chocolate cake I ever tasted. I’m not a chocolate cake fan, but I tried it because of the Biscoff. The icing and the cake were utterly amazing. I ate half of it there even though I was planning on taking it all home. I typically like thinner layers of cake and thinner layers of icing But the softness of this arrangement allow for you to eat as much cake or as much icing as you needed to at a time and I’m sure it’s easier for them to do two layers. It’s perfect, don’t change it.
Fries with pork and house ketchup. Good idea and tasty, but the ketchup has too much twang in my opinion.
Cucumber salad-light and refreshing but too light/plain tasting-just tasted like cucumbers in oil. although it was a good break from the seasoning I had on the other dishes.
Yu Choi was ok, not as flavorful
Pizza’s delicious. They allow you to alter and make whatever you can think of they have-awesome. Not many heavy entrees but a lot of really good fun food. I was overall happy and...
Read moreI'm giving a 3* rating for my ToGo order. Despite the unfavorable parts of my experience, I would probably return for a happy hour. The fried maitake mushrooms with lemon pepper were perfection! The sesame street fries and burrata & fry bread were nothing special or something I would order again. You pay $12 for french fries drenched in Gochujang and herbs. Unfortunately, the Gochujang came directly on the fries (and placed at the bottom of my four orders), so they were soggy and squished by the time I got to them. I would recommend asking for the sauce on the side if ordering to go. The burrata and fry bread came with a side of tomato sauce that was EXTREMELY salty. Not inedible, especially if eaten with the burrata which cuts the salt a bit, but borderline. Lastly, the mongolian beef fried rice. The sweet & salty dish had a lot of flavor and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't order it again. Other than the mushrooms, I feel like this is one of those situations where I just didn't order the right dishes.
One thing that turned me off immediately about my experience was the lack of transparency with pricing. This is an absolute pet peeve of mine. The online menu prices on their website did not reflect the prices I was being charged. I was also charged a 4% health insurance fee, but it was not initially mentioned when I placed the order over the phone. I realized I was quoted more than I expected. I called back to go over the cost of each item and it wasn't until I mentioned that the totals still weren't adding up that the young lady brought up the insurance fee. I did not clearly see this listed anywhere on the website either. On top of this the food upcharge here is very high. It's a restaurant, so fine. All of this to say, I still would have chosen to order here knowing this up front. However, I don't appreciate when fees are imposed and prices are...
Read moreFoodie Friday at @jenchansatl was awesome. It had an eclectic, small restaurant friendly vibe going that was really great, our waitress was attentive, friendly and helpful. Oh we also loved the food and drinks. Here is what we had:
Lemon Pepper Wet Wings ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ These were small but extra delicious. Definitely were wet, lemon pepper, tangy, and a bit spicy. Very good!!
Brussel Sprouts ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Charred Brussels sprouts with those amazing Mongolian honey glaze at the bottom of the bowl. The sauce is boss.
Mongolian Beef Cheesesetak ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Basically a really good cheesesteak with some Mongolian style combination of sweet and heat. Definitely something different and something amazing. We devoured it!!
Vietnamese Pork Pizza ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A flat, square Flatbread pizza with lots of personality. Sauteed onions, garlic, miso sauce, ground pork, and Asian slaw on top. What an interesting and beautiful intersection of culture on this dish.
Miso chocolate chip cookies ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ These were so good and they brought them out still warm from the oven!
Ginger Margarita ❤️❤️❤️❤️ A really good margarita, we just wish it was a little more ginger forward... but we would order it again!!
