My family and I were coming here for my birthday and we had reservation online for 9:00 pm and I called ahead of time and asked if they would be open at 9 to make sure cause it was late and their online said they would be open and everything regular menu and drinks I clarified twice and they said it was fine as long as we were their by 9. Then when we got there they said the kitchen was closed and they called me back but they did not call me and I showed the manager. She was very rude and blaming us instead of apologizing for her employee’s mistake. She did not call my number I showed her my phone had no call and only a text message confirming and she still did not apologize or taken ownership or offer anything free to make up for the trip. The manager was very unprofessional and I’ve worked in restaurant business and would never handle it that way. Immediately being accusing and not taking ownership for your worker messing up and not calling the number on the reservation and telling wrong information. Very disappointing
I would like to attach this regarding the owners reply. This is again completely wrong of what happened and there is no ownership that your employee told the wrong information and did not call the right person. I have the phone log on my end of one call and the same number that shows the text confirming reservation. The reservation was under my number and my name. She called my mother in law who was not even on the reservation. She may have called on her own free will but you should have called the person who reserved it whose name is attached to it not just someone who called to check on it. We were not even together and I was coming from far away. Also, YOUR EMPLOYEE said 9:00 was when you stopped receiving anymore customers but not when everything closed. I said “ even kitchen or just bar” and she said eveything, you will have regular service as long as your here by 9. Many restaurants operate that way so no one can reserve a spot past then but can still be served if they are the last slot of the day. Why would you give people ability to reserve at 9 if you are completely closed and do not serve anymore and have sent staff home. I realize it was probably slow night and you decided to let people close and leave before 9 but then do not accept reservations if that is the case. I wanted you to communicate through me and not through anyone else in the party and that did not happen. I just feel completely lied to cause that is exactly what I was told and then I personally was not called back with other information and never even knew that phone call took place or what was said because again you called the wrong person whose number was not on the reservation and was not with me when...

So… let me say that our server Sam was super sweet. Now for the cons:
The inside of the restaurant is small. Our large party was seated on the patio, which is basically in the parking lot. I was not a fan of this. It did not feel like I was dining at a restaurant while looking at the backs of parked cars. They also didn’t have fans out there or table fans to keep the flies away.
Service was horrid. We went during happy hour. They had three large parties sat at the same time with one dedicated server and another guy running around in plain clothes assisting. They don’t use trays to bring out your food. So expect thumbs and fingers in your plates and bowls. The guy talked over our plates while carrying them. And he rubbed his hands all over the cake knife he brought out. I’m a huge germaphobe and hated this. The drinks were spilling everywhere as they carried them out in their hands. And none of our orders were placed together or came out together, resulting in some of us finishing our meals before other meals had even arrived! The servers were running like crazy and forgetting every request. We didn’t get water until 2.5 hours after we had been seated. And plan to make your requests at least four times before your item is brought out to you.
CHECK YOUR CHECK! They overcharged me and others at the table. Had I not asked for a receipt I wouldn’t have known. They charged me for things I didn’t order. When I asked for a refund and for it to be fixed, they had the happy hour prices stated higher on the bill than the menu lists. The manager had to manually adjust the prices. This leads me to believe they are over charging everyone. Don’t pay without seeing an itemized list and compare it to the menu. This is theft! My check went from $65 to $35! That is crazy.
The food was good for what it was, but everything else was so bad. I will never patronize this place again. I’m really over the trendy flower wall spots that focus more on aesthetic than service. If I come to a restaurant, my main goal is to be served food and eat. I don’t want untrained servers fumbling around, spilling things, forgetting things, and having no idea of how to manage large parties. And that manager had a horrible attitude, rolling her eyes when I brought to her attention the over charging.
Bottom line: I don’t recommend Pinky Promise and...
Read moreCute place a lot can get fooled by the atmosphere and get tricked into thinking it will be awesome but let me tell you. This review is a reflection on the manger mainly rather than anything else. First of all if you are going to close your establishment at 9 maybe make sure that open tables doesn’t allow you to reserve at 9. Seems very straight forward to me. The manager is unprofessional and she masks it as being nice. As someone that has been a manager at a restaurant and worked in hospitality for over 7 years I can tell you with full confidence whenever there is a mistake regardless of who’s fault (btw this was not our fault because you failed to communicate with the person that made the reservation) you are apologetic and deescalate the situation. You do not tell your patrons “well I was there I heard her say that you all were warned” this is when you apologize for the inconvenience and try to find a solution. In my wife’s response you said that you did apologize and “offer” desert because it doesn’t “require an oven”. First of all you didn’t apologize you said oh well there is a miscommunication the only reason why you said “and btw guys I am really sorry for this miscommunication” as you were dropping off our drinks is because you heard us trash you about your unprofessionalism for 5 minutes straight. You never offered to calm the situation down and if you respond and you say “that’s why I offered dessert” I will tell you that from our prospective it did not seem that way. Based on the track record of the negative reviews on this page there will be a response here soon once again attacking me and my family or claiming that this a small local business trying to make things work and if you were to be comping stuff then it will not be a good business model. But i am sure sitting on the patio after “close” and smashing glasses of wine with your pals is a great business model. Bottom line if you want to come here and spend you money I will not be stoping you, but in my professional view this place is just ran by someone that wanted all the praise and cuteness of owning a cute girly establishment but doesn’t know or want to showcase any high level of hospitality or...
