Review for 7/18/2022: You can see from the timeline I’ve made here that this is my favorite restaurant. They have really done their best to make the overall experience better as a whole. There is still a surcharge for the bread items but the sauces are no longer extra as long as they are part of your meal. The servers and managers are always around making sure you are taken care of. And the food and its quality has not changed at all. Portions are a tad smaller but you still leave full and satisfied. I can’t wait for the weather to get cooler to enjoy their outdoor area again. In the meantime, I’m glad they found the best way to manage the increases around us.
Review for 4/8/2022: Really heartbreaking to say this, but this restaurant has chosen to squeeze their patrons for every penny to the point that it is insulting. They raised all prices on the menu by $1-2 which is completely understandable. But immediately after enacting the new prices, they have begun other practices as well. Free complimentary cornbreads and rolls? Nope - now 65¢ each. Want two dipping sauces for your chicken tenders? You'll pay 50¢ for that second sauce. Are you walking in the heat and wanna pop in for a glass of water? That'll be $1 at the bar. The food is tasty and the servers are kind and courteous (shout out to Bree and Brendan and Isaac), but when your bill is suddenly $8 more just because you ordered bread for the table of 6 and a couple of sauces for your chicken is really steep and leaves a bad impression on patrons. To be noted, though the bread charge is on a note on the tables, none of the other surcharges are notated anywhere on the menu. So it truly is a surprise at checkout and it's noticeable in the lack of clientele. I'm currently writing this on their empty patio on a lovely Friday evening at 6:20pm (dinner rush) and the only tables here are my party of 3 and a party of 5. Inside, there are 4 tables. And barely any takeout orders going out either. Really sad to see this establishment drowning.
Review from 11/12/2021: The best rotisserie chicken in Atlanta!! These guys are awesome! Menu consists of southern classics and is super yummy. The food travels very well too. The staff is courteous and service is fast. They have an outdoor patio area that that is covered and heated so even in the cold, you can enjoy the outside. Totally recommend this place. Prices are fabulous too - $8 for a full sized chicken (they will debone or de-skin the...
Read moreFrom the moment we entered this restaurant, our server Miguel have us 5 star service from beginning to end. After less than five minutes of being seated, our appetizer order was taken. Somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes later, our appetizers were brought out. The chicken dumpling soup was so good, I finished the whole bowl. My wife had the lemon pepper chicken wings with ranch dressing and celery sticks for her appetizer. The appetizers were so good that we had to take some home. In the midst of our appetizers, the server took our order.
By the time the food came to the table, I thought that I had room to finish my dinner. When the dinner came out to the table, it was the best tasting barbeque I've ever eaten. That barbeque was so so good that I barely ate my ribs. In addition, I tasted a little bit of macaroni and cheese, however, I could not finish my food. Therefore, I asked for a take home box. The food was so filling that we had to take two Styrofoam trays home. Fast forwarding to later in the evening, I finished the food as an after midnight snack.
The BBQ chicken was so juicy and tender having a smoked and crispy skin on the outside. The broccoli and cauliflower casserole was crunchy and cheesy at the same time! The mac & cheese was so cheesy and creamy unlike anything I have had in my life. Additionally, my wife let me taste her sweet potato sufflé, and I could taste the cream cheese in it! And the creamed spinach was magnificent. By the way, the dinner rolls and cornbread muffins kept on coming.
Finally, when we ordered dessert, it was worth the wait! Too bad that the caramel cheesecake ran out! But our sweet appetites were compensated with an apple crisp and preach cobbler, which both came with vanilla ice cream. We knew that the ice cream would not last in the car until we got home so we are the ice cream on the spot!
When I got home to eat the Apple crisp, it was still crunchy and crispy even after warming it up! I will recommend Roasters to anybody that I know and meet as having THE BEST BBQ AND DESSERTS IN TOWN!
The staff were very inviting and friendly. The manager was hospitable and the food was OVERALL GREAT and I give Miguel and Roasters 5 stars a piece.

Read moreThe menu here is TERRIBLE. The selection is virtually non-existent. It's basically akin to going to your local Publix deli section... which is fine if you're on your way home after work, but not so much if you're at a restaurant.
Our server, Lamar, was ABYSMAL! I tasted a bite of my disgusting food, and pushed it to the middle of the table. He didn't bother to offer to bring out replacement food. Instead, he just said, "you're not eating your food", and walked off.
When it came time to pay, I crossed off the gratuity they included on the check, and wrote in the dollar amount for the food (that I did not eat). Lamar took exception to that, and told me I was required to pay him his gratuity regardless of how I felt about the service. I replied by telling him the food was horrendous, to which he responded, "what does that have to do with me? I only make $2.13/hr. My money comes from gratuity." I was flabbergasted by his flippant response and complete disregard for any semblance of customer service. At that point I requested to speak with the manager, because due to his cavalier and disrespectful attitude, I was no longer willing to pay for the food since it wasn't eaten. Long story short, the manager offered to bring me a replacement meal, but at this point we'd been there for over an hour and a half, and my family was ready to leave. Instead, the manager agreed to refund my money, and this horrible dining experience was finally over.
I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. The selection sucks, the food sucks, and the service sucks. You're better off stopping by your local grocery store deli. After all, it's basically...
