As a regular for what feels like forever (I'm there every two weeks!), I can confidently say that Sushi Kiku is not just my favorite sushi spot, it's a true gem. There's a reason I keep coming back, and it's a perfect blend of amazing prices, an incredible selection, and a truly welcoming vibe. First off, the value here is simply unbeatable. You get top-notch sushi without breaking the bank, which is a huge plus, especially for a dedicated sushi enthusiast like me. But it's not just about the cost; it's the sheer variety that truly sets Sushi Kiku apart. Whether you're craving classic nigiri, inventive specialty rolls, or even something beyond sushi from their extensive menu, they genuinely have something for everyone. I'm always discovering new favorites alongside my go-to orders. Beyond the delicious food and fantastic prices, the atmosphere at Sushi Kiku is always spot on. It's got a great, relaxed vibe that makes every visit enjoyable, whether I'm dining solo or with friends. It's the kind of place where you can unwind and truly savor your meal. And I absolutely cannot write a review without giving a special shout-out to Christopher. He is, without a doubt, the best server there! Christopher consistently goes above and beyond, making every visit even more pleasant with his attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and helpful recommendations. He's a huge part of why my bi-weekly sushi fix at Kiku is always something I look forward to. If you're looking for an amazing sushi experience with great prices, endless options, a wonderful atmosphere, and top-tier service (especially from Christopher!), then Sushi Kiku is an absolute must-try. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve been coming to Sushi Kiku as my go-to sushi spot for 6-7 years. It’s amazing. And yes, the rolls really are 50% off every day (dine in only, I think?). And it’s consistently delicious. I’ve never had anything less than a great experience, which is sort of wild. But entirely true. While I’m here, I feel a responsibility to debunk a few negative review complaints that seem like they came from the subset of human who probably shouldn’t dine out to begin with (former service industry worker of 10 years… sorry not sorry). - Those saying the rolls are not actually 50% off… simple math immediately disproves that. Here’s how it works: using the up-to-date, in-person menu, take the total dollar amount of the sushi roll in question, and divide it by 2. That’s what you’ll pay (plus tax… doesn’t seem warranted to add that detail but maybe it is). - I saw a comment about “sneakiness” claiming the staff never provides an itemized receipt. I’ve never dined here and not received an itemized receipt (on the inverse, I always receive an itemized receipt). And I’ve never had a single qualm with my bill in terms of hidden charges or things costing more than advertising. It’s always been an incredibly straight forward experience. There are a few other nitpicky reviews out there. I’d just say if you’re on the fence, come check it out for yourself. And try to tip a little extra on top of the discounted check total considering we’re getting away with murder on these premium sushi prices and the staff here is great.

[Time & Date of visit]: Weeknight Around 7pm.

[Location/Ambiance]: I've visited around lunch time when they have a lunch buffet quite a few times but never reviewed. I feel like that keeps the place pretty busy for that time duration. Though for dinners, there were maybe 4 other tables and a couple at the bar. Seems like the place dies down quite a bit for dinner time.

[Service]: Lunch seems to be attentive. Dinner...eh...more like hardly any, except when taking orders and serving the food. I don't think even once we even got a water refill.

[Food Highlights]: For dine in only, sushi + rolls are half off. I'm not too sure about getting the sashimi as some rolls didn't taste exceedingly fresh. As we stuck mainly with cooked rolls.

While the server brought out the food, he did not explain which rolls were which exactly. So I'll just have to review the ones that I visually remember.

Seaweed Salad - Though it's a decent size portion for two, it's missing something. All I could think was, Super H mart has prepackaged ones that tasted better.

Spider roll - 5 pieces - The end cuts were a lot wider than I was hoping for. Nothing standing out too much or any distinct taste with the soft shell crab. A little bare on it though. Meh.

Dragon Roll - 7-8 pieces - My staple roll to order, as I'm very fond of bbq eel. But, I'm not really excited for this one too much. Good cuts of eel on each roll, but just wasn't really wowed by the flavors.

Super Alaskan Roll - 8 pieces - Though my bestest did ask for no cream cheese and if anything could be substituted, (even more veggies, really, anything. Hell even put more rice!) our server informed us that add anything "extra" would constitute an additional $2 charge, ( I wonder if it that charge would be half off though, ahhh!) regardless what the "extra" was. I'm not a fan of cream cheese on sushi, but I'll slather it on my bagel. The avocado was really lacking tonight. Salmon wasn't on point with the freshness. Just decent enough.

Flaming Joy Roll - Not wowed by this roll either. Very heavily drenched in sauce. So-So.

Lenox Roll - I can't remember much about this roll. So I guess that concludes that, not good enough to remember.

{Summary}: I feel like if you have just graduated up from Ru-Sans or the like, Kiku would be the next stop, before you leap to a better sushi restaurant with much more fresh seafood. I feel the value might still be with the lunch buffet. But even with it being half off for dinner, just fill up on the cooked stuff. Nothing really memorable to want me to go...
