Edit- 1 star now because turns out I had a bacteria infection I had to go to the doctor and get prescribed medication to heal it. In total my eyebrow took over a month to heal and Iām not sure the hair will ever grow back. The skin on my eyebrow is visibly pink and I now have to fill it in because it doesnāt look like the other one and is faded in comparison.
Iām giving 2 stars because under my eyebrow herpes/infection or whatever is happening to my skin they look good. I needed a touchup to my micro-bladed eyebrows my regular girl moved out of the country so made the decision of coming here after seeing insta pics and videos of vanās work. I now see where I messed up by not reading any reviews. The process seemed easy enough I texted the number in the profile I was told to make an appointment online which I did and paid a $30 deposit. When I showed up on the day of my appointment, I was met by a man in the front who had me sign paperwork and also applied numbing cream and saran wrap to my eyebrows while I read through the documents. Once that was complete, he called van from her room. She got me and told me to lay down and the process begin very quickly. She said sheās gonna follow the pattern of how my eyebrows were and that was it not much talking happened, which was fine with me. I do have to say, I think she went a little too rough because I did feel as though my skin was cut or something because that certain part hurt worse than others.
Once finished, I loved my eyebrows upon seeing them, I got them done on February 6. By the 11th I started seeing red spots that I thought were pimples forming and I am not prone to pimples at all but I figured maybe it was from all the wiping of ink or something. As the days went on, I did still continue using the ointment as directed, but the bumps continued to get worse and worse. Tomorrow will be two weeks exactly from the date I got my eyebrows done and since I donāt know exactly what it is Iāve put a combination of things on these bumps Neosporin, vitamin E, and Iāve taken a few amoxicillin pills just in case. I have to say the bumps are a lot darker and pronounced now. But, I think they might be healing because some of the spots are itchy. I think this happened because maybe the ink is not of good quality, I was tattooed too deep got cut, and the constant wiping on my forehead mightāve irritated it but Idk, I think Iām at the point where I may need to go to the doctor. I really hope these donāt turn into scars. I tried texting the same number I texted the first time to make the appointment to let them know what has happened and also look for some type of guidance or if they had any insight to what this could be, but I literally got no response. Anyway just thought Iād just inform and remind anyone who reads this to definitely do your research...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would. I flew from NY to ATL for the sole purpose of getting my eyebrows microbladed by Van. As I arrived she did not greet me, instead she instructed her secretary to begin the numbing process and left. Her secretary handed me the procedure papers and began applying the numbing cream as I was reading through the documents (alone). After I signed them, he escorted me to her room and she told me where to sit and began mapping my brows. She did not discuss the paper work, precautions, or go over whether I was a good candidate and did not even ask what shape I was looking to get. I noticed this was odd and seemed rushed however I went along with it because I figured she was a pro and just knew exactly what she was doing. She showed me her predraw and I kindly asked her to make adjustments to the shape. This seemed to really bother her and she began making faces, sighing, and even started talking in her own language to the other pmu artist in the room and they both started laughing. This went on for another 10 minutes as she was fixing the shape. My mother was with us and asked her if she was ok and if she needed to take a break as we could see she was highly upset. Van ignored her and continued mapping. The energy was off, I felt so uncomfortable that I kindly asked to stop the process and told her I would not like to continue. She stormed out the room and started talking with her other co-workers. Her secretary came in the room and asked me if there was anything he could do for us to continue with Van (as I can visibly see Van through the glass door rolling her eyes and had all of her coworkers looking at us and whispering to one another). I knew that I could not continue, I could only imaging how worse it couldāve went when the actual tattoo process started. Iām still in shock at how she behaved when I was nothing but kind and courteous the entire time. I get that everyone is not perfect and may have off days but there is no excuse to act like that to a paying customer. The whole encounter made me sick and ruined my trip. I would not recommend her at all. Please please please read the other 1 star reviews,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy brows were done by Van and she does great work don't get me wrong but she has the worse attitude i have ever seen. When I asked questions like " is my hair pulled back enough for you to see? she completely ignored me as if i was a child and proceeded to tap on the table telling me to lay down. She really was unpleasant, i hate that I even spent my $600 with her. Once she was done, she said "done", I got up and looked in the mirror. She started cleaning up I guess, I'm just standing there looking crazy waiting for her to take my payment. After standing there so long I finally said should I walk myself to the front. She said nothing, I walked myself to the front, I didn't even leave a tip. She didn't even say thank you for booking and using my services. I'm not looking forward to going to the shop again. Not to mention the shop smelled sour. I might see if Trish can do my touchup instead of going back to Van. And the craziest part is I have sent people to her (including my mother) to be serviced way before I even had her services, I recommended her off the muscle of...
