I was visiting my daughter at her College and wanted some ice cream so I searched for ice cream near me and this place came up. When I mentioned the name to her she said that a lot of the students go there and have said that the ice cream is pretty good. Being that I love ice cream I was quite excited about having ice cream that was so close to us but more importantly the fact that their website mentioned vegan ice cream. I'm not 100% vegan but I do prefer vegan options. Vegan ice cream is hard to come by, or should I say good vegan ice cream is hard to come by. We were greeted when we walked in, they offered samples of what we wanted to try, everyone was friendly. The only two negative things I can note is that two of the employees were having a personal conversation and they continue to have that conversation while we were selecting our ice cream and paying for our order, they were not the same employees that were assisting us but I could definitely hear their conversation and knew that it was not work related. The other small thing is that they were a little bit slow with getting our ice cream, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The vegan mango ice cream was absolutely delicious. It didn't taste artificial or overly icy, it was nice and fruity and smooth. I also got some chocolate chip cookies and to my surprise they were actually very good. On my next visit I'm looking forward to trying another flavor and getting more cookies lol. Both of my daughters got traditional ice cream and they enjoyed their selections as well.

We came here on our trip to Atlanta, or should I say, “Hotlanta.” We came across this ice cream spot to cool off. The interior was clean and cozy. They had various selections of classical and in house original ice cream. They had a flavor called “Black Panther” which had a crunchy cement taste-it was activated charcoal. Is that even safe for consumption? They let you sample the flavor before choosing your ice cream in a cup, cone, cookie, or donut. After trying a few flavors, I decided to play it safe and choose my favorite flavors-“Mint Chocolate Chip” and “Cuban Coffee”. We also got “Let the Mango” and “Amber Rose”. There was nothing special about the Mint Chocolate Chip, but I liked the Cuban Coffee-it had a cool cold brew taste to it. The Mango was good, light in taste, and not too sweet. The Amber Rose had crunchy rock candy, but was too sweet as it was cotton candy flavored. We checked into Yelp to receive an extra scoop ($1 off), or they give you 10% off your order if you like them on Facebook or Instagram. I personally think they’re a little on the pricier side for the quality, as a scoop is about $4 for a cup. They’re known for their donut ice cream sandwich, which unfortunately, we didn’t know till we saw someone get it. We will try it next time.

Full disclosure, the owner is a good friend of mine. He asked me and my family to stop by his new ice cream place and check it out but did not ask me to write a review. With that said, lets talk about that sweet stack. At first, my wife and I were a little hesitant. Were not heavily into sweets so a donut with ice cream in the middle seemed a bit much. But I wanted to give it a try and of course my friend was so excited for us to test it out we couldnt say no. I have to say it was absolutely delicious! To fully explain the sweet stack it is a holeless donut (glazed or unglazed) with icecream in the middle. Once you choose the icecream you want (I choose vanilla with rainbow sprinkles) they then put the donut (with the icecream not in the middle like a sandwich into a hotpress (is it hot press or cold press?) And basically warm the donut so then you have a warm donut with cold icecream in the middle. Yum, yum, yum. Our daughter didn't get the donut and just got hers in a cup (her loss) but she still enjoyed her icecream as well. I would highly recommend a visit you wont regret it.

This was one of the only dessert shops within walking distance of us on Sunday night, and we were desperately looking for some sweets, and so...to Sweet-Stack we went.

They have ice cream (including vegan), ice cream sandwiches (cookie, donuts), shakes, etc. There's a cute Instagram-friendly wall for you to show off your creation if you want. The staff worked efficiently and promptly, though idk if I'd say they were super friendly. No great loss though -- it was getting late, around 10 PM. I get it, lol.

We were both a little on edge because the walk over honestly didn't feel super safe (downtown is surprisingly sparse at night, we learned) so we just grabbed the simplest ice cream we wanted. I wound up with a chocolate ice cream that had peanut butter swirl, while husband got two flavors -- the real MVP (basically death by chocolate) and a cookies and cream type flavor. I thought the price was reasonable for the price and portion size.

The lid on my husband's ice cream wasn't attached correctly and he wound up dripping some on a new hoodie, so watch out for that.

We both enjoyed our ice cream. It's pretty thick, fairly creamy, and not too sweet. Good amount of peanut butter swirl in my chocolate peanut butter. I think I had the best pick of the three flavors, but it's also down to personal preference. I'd return to try other flavors or to reorder...
