Truly surprised with my order as I always order from mangos at the Marietta location and get the same exact thing each time and enjoy the food. However, due to where I was currently located at the time of ordering DoorDash would only let me order from this atlanta location as the Marietta one was too far. The food i received earlier today was unacceptable specifically the baked Mac and Cheese which was completely inedible. Literally a solid burnt block of cheese that was extremely dry. Heating it up did nothing to melt the cheese because it appeared to be an old slice that had hardened. I could literally pick up the whole slice without anything falling from it, it was like it was frozen solid without the frozen part. The fish I received was also different from how it's cooked at the Marietta location. Again I order the same dish each time and I never received it with the head still on. I thought being the same branch the food would get prepared the same way even if you order it at a different location but I guess not. Truly disappointed as I wasted money. please take a look at my photos, genuine question…Who saw this slice of Mac and thought that this was an edible piece to give to a customer? 😪

Today I came in and ordered a Jerk chicken plate. I usually always check my food before I leave but I did not today. The restaurant appeared clean, their was 1 other customer sitting in the restaurant, and the cashier was nice and attentive. However when I got home I realized my food was not fresh and was atleast a day old ALL OF IT! I came around 1:40ish so they were open for some time. I love plantains but they were not fresh, the chicken was atleast 1-2 days old, the rice and peas were stale and had an old taste to it as if it was cooked the day prior. By the time I made it home my food was completely cold! And I live less than 15 minutes away, it wasn’t any heat to my food. I am dissapointed as I read great reviews which is why I came. However, it is extremely wrong to sell food that you know isn’t fresh, especially when it was cooked the previous day, and to charge someone full price without letting them know “Hey this food wasn’t made today, we had left overs from yesterday and we’re selling them first before we cook todays food” That’s very deceiving and I’m an honest person I will not be back at this establishment. I advise everyone to check their food before leaving this establishment.

The food is flavorful and delicious with large portions, enough for two meals. Able to try three of their dishes on different days. All the food is homemade some orders cooked to order such as the King fish. Day 1: King fish cooked estovich style(spicy), cabbage, mac n cheese and plantains. Rum n raisin cheese cake. Omg...is all I will say. The mac is baked to perfection with herbs mixed in, the fish was fried but tender. The cabbage tasted like my moms southern style cabbage. The rum cheese cake....a bit pricey but worth every fork full. Day 2: Goat with rice n peas, mac n cheese and plantains. Excellent! The goat melted in my mouth, the sauce enhanced the meal. The rice n peas weren't mushy cooked just right. Day 3: Curry chicken, tender n succulent. This little spot has true authentic carribean cuisine. They have a full bar serving shots, mixed drinks and beer. Tv's in the dinning area and bar. A live band plays on Thursday 10pm-12am. A nice place to eat and drink while listening to carribean music. Metered street parking in front of the establishment, free parking on a lot up the street. This establishment has been saved in my favorites. Will be returning....

I first call the establishment to ask whether the fish I wanted was still being served AND what the price would be and the lady on the phone quipped, "The prices are on the website". I responded, "Ok. Soooo you cant just tell me the price over the phone since you work there?!" I should have known THEN that this was going to be a train wreck.

I order my food online (as requested). When it arrived to me, I didn't get the double order of plantains that I ordered AND they gave me a beef patty instead of the veggie patty that I originally ordered.

Now, I have to leave work to go back to the establishment so I can get the correct order. When I told the lady at the front they gave me a beef patty instead of the veggie, she responded, dryly: "ok" and laughed. She then proceeds to give me the most burnt-on-the-bottom veggie patty (which I'll get to later) and my plantains.

I get to my car to eat the veggie patty. Mind you, I bite into it and it's definitely more "patty" than "veggies"...it was like cooked (well, burnt) dough with a sprinkle of carrots and peas and whatever else they put in there.

The experience wasn't the best and the food wasn't anything to brag or boast about.

Even the establishment itself was just as uninviting as the customer service was--drab, dark with no customers there but myself. Not that it was dirty (I won't say THAT) but it wasn't necessary clean and/or neat either. It was a lot going on and not a lot at the same time.

I'll let them keep the $30+ that I paid for my order today. Sadly, I don't even see them using what they (over)charged for my food as an investment in the business or the customer service at the front cashier.

You want to support your people but today they showed me every reason why you can't (and shouldn't). Go where your money is being put to good use and you're appreciated...

Service: Was great, loved the personalities of the men that were there. I always tip whatever the gratuity is after each order to show my appreciation.

Food: I ordered the oxtail pasta. I had to order the oxtail separately due to me being told that they sold it that way, being that the pasta was an all veggie plate. So, I did as told and assumed that I would be good to go. I was served a creamy pasta that was great on flavor. Along with large onions, zucchinis, 1 slice green bellpepper, and 1 slice red pepper and 3 Itty bitty oxtail on top, no oxtail gravy( which is what I asked for because if you blend it with the creamy sauce 😋 it's amazing. ) The oxtail seasoning was perfect, very flavorful. However, I never had raw like zucchini and raw like onions in my pasta before( Ever). I ate around it. I love veggies, but when it's sautéed or cooked down a bit more. I didn't enjoy the food too much.

Atmosphere: It seemed small until I went inside. The place could use some upgrading. The inside is dark with very little lighting, and I went on a beautiful sunny day. The tables were all over the place, sticky and not the best looking in regards to cleanliness. The music was great, but they also had a game playing on the TV. I didn't enjoy the scenery while eating on the inside. For parking, you would have to find a near parking deck and walk to the establishment.

Would I recommend it? I like to view the place from a distance before attending, such as Instagram posts, facebook reviews, and / or online reviews. I came on the grace of the reviews on google and a Youtube video that was about 8 to 9 years ago. In the video, the place looked better, and it seemed as if the food was too. I believe the owner should consider upgrading in the near future. That would be the only way that I would return and recommend...

Yesterday, I visited with family for a birthday outing, the idea was suggested from a family member's past good experience! It was our first time and our group was very dissappointed when we all left (not to mention the Birthday person visiting from another state). The waitress was the BOMB with her service ( she sang for our neice), and sang beautifully! The food I couldn't order any, I felt sick, I wanted to throw-up. The rest ordered, since we were there already. The reason I couldn't order was due to the bathroom's uncleanliness, and non-functioning proper commodes. It left such a negative impression on my mind. I could'nt wait to get outside for fresh air to breathe. The only plus for me was that, they had hand soap and hot running water to use. I remember a sign on the Ladies room door that instructed us to hold the lever down long enough bf use and to gain a successful flush. My guests complained of soggy and burnt rice etc., Their meals were so-so. At evening's end two of our guests went back and found water flooding the bathroom floors and came back to tell us, we were all like, okay, we're done, we're never coming back! I have no idea how they cooked in that condition or if they were even allowed to operate food in that way? We didn't know who the manager was or if the resturant had changed owners, as our previous guest suggested. However, we can't return, we won't be back and thank you, Mango you...
