I've lived here for about 6 months and haven't had the best experience. I wouldn't recommend living here at all. Try looking into The Mix instead. It's right across the street and about the same distance from the GSU campus. There are some good things about Reflections, but the cons definitely outweigh the pros. Also, when I first toured they were giving out free stuff if you gave them a 5-star review so most of the positive reviews are solicited.
Reasons why you may want to live here. It's very close to the GSU campus. A 10-minute walk or less. I haven't seen any bugs or roaches in my room or living area. We have a balcony.
Reasons why you should not live here. It's very expensive. Each person has their own lease so paying $1200 plus utilities isn't worth sharing a living space between 3 people. The "study lounge" has no wifi. Every time I go there to study I have to use my hotspot. If the wifi worked properly it would actually be a nice place to go. When my roommates and I first moved in the dishwasher didn't work properly. The shower only gets lukewarm. Also, the pipes rumble and make a really loud noise when you turn the shower on. The wifi just randomly goes out for periods of time. It's kinda inconvenient given that almost everyone living here is a student and needs to do schoolwork online. It smells like trash in the hallways 24/7. Some of the staff is kinda passive aggressive and not very helpful when you're asking a question or need help. The parking garage has no mirrors and the gate is always broken. The secondary parking lot has had a ton of break-ins, not exactly reflections fault but just be warned. Security doesn't really do anything. A bunch of stuff was stolen from the game room like PlayStations and stuff and security couldn't stop that. The trash chutes don't open sometimes. Instead of just having a normal trash chute where you pull the handle, you have to push a button, wave your hand over this light and then try to open it but sometimes it won't unlock so you can't throw anything away. My roommates and I have been lucky to not have any significant problems with our unit, but some people's apartments flooded. They've been living in hotels far from campus for a while now.
Last but not least Maintenance came into our apartment today by just letting themselves in. We didn't put in a maintenance request, but apparently, they're putting a sign up in everyone's personal bathrooms that tell us not to flush certain things down the toilet. They banged on the door announcing and then like 5 seconds later they just unlocked it and came in. Having 3 grown men come into your apartment when you are home alone is scary. It makes me extremely uncomfortable that maintenance and management can just come into our rooms without us being there. Our lease agreement, states that they can enter our apartments for reasonable business with a key after 24 hours of written notice, but I didn't get an email...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was a part of the first group of tenants that moved into the apartment last year when it was brand new and let me just say as a college student looking for somewhere to call home as I moved to a new area in downtown Atlanta I can say I couldn't have asked for somewhere better.
Let's start with the facilities. The gym here is a great option for people who are looking to become fit without leaving the building as it stays open 24/7. With state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of workout options, I was able to maintain my fitness routine effortlessly. It's not just about the equipment though; the gym is well-maintained and kept impeccably clean, creating an inviting atmosphere that motivated me to push myself to work out almost daily.
But the amenities don't stop there ā the sky lounge was an absolute standout feature. The views of the city were breathtaking, and it quickly became my go-to spot for unwinding after a long day. Whether I was catching up on reading, Playing the various amounts of games they have, or just being able to connect with other tenants while watching the ATL skyline from the 25th floor is amazing, the sky lounge offered a sense of comfort that you can not find anywhere else on campus.
One of the most impressive aspects of this complex is the management's dedication to creating a respectful and welcoming environment. Whether it was Emily answering my questions about transferring to a new apartment, Britney being helpful with day-to-day questions, Claudia giving me sound advice as a college student trying to keep up on my rent, Or Tranae holding things down and planning out events that make living here memorable. They were always responsive to any concerns or inquiries, and their professionalism truly set them apart. I felt valued as a resident, and it was evident that they prioritized our comfort and satisfaction.
The pool area was another highlight of my experience. When I tell you guys this pool is lit always I mean it. It was the perfect spot to relax, swim, or simply soak up some sun. And what's more, the management regularly organized events for the residents, adding an extra layer of community bonding. From poolside BBQs to holiday gatherings, these events allowed me to connect with my neighbors and create lasting friendships. This is also topped off by having a game room that is perfect for if you decide you want a little relaxation from time to time. Whether you wanna chill and play some pool with your neighbors or get competitive and play the PlayStations and Xboxes they have I guarantee there is something for you.
Overall I can say this place is one I can call home with as a respectful environment with an amazing community,a respectful staff, high quality living and amazing amenities if you were on the fence about living here and urge you that this is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wrote a review, it seemed to have got deleted. I was one of the first tenants to move in upon grand opening. From day one , I Do not recommend this as a place to call home. Very overpriced for a horrible experience. You might as well spend your money on regular housing. It is not a college environment at all. It is advertised as student living but anyone is allowed to move in! Adults, Scammers, Plugs & families. Communication across all staffing departments is very poor hence to why they switched managements twice in the two years its been open! New managements come in thinking they know whats going on & they donāt. Appliances have been failing since it opened, Rooms do not look like the pictures online, very small, closets have no doors, something is always wrong with the water whether the pressure is low or their simply is none, elevators are always broke or stuck, mold in unimaginable places, bug infestation, multiple floors flooded not even three weeks into it being opened, walls are easily scratch able so they can tack on fees when the lease is over, hardly any measures of safety just some words in a lease. Not to mention, the random fees you have to pay. Make sure you keep an eye out on your utility bill as well cause they add hidden utilities fees! The environment is already poor & Reflections doesn't make it any better. They have rules in place that are poorly implemented which causes chaos. Security & Maintenance has sexual relations with residents, very aggressive, they think their the building owners, smokes marijuana with residents, & engage in nasty phone calls on the clock. Never make them feel low cause they get evil. They only care about your safety when their job is on the line ! Guns are prohibited & its a Smoke free Environment but 75% of guests own guns & smoke. Everything is a money grab here ! They love fees with no explanation.. I highly recommend spending your money...
