Tannour Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Atlanta

I almost missed the spot three times. There is no sign above the building, (and the sign outside in the small plaza - which lists the multiple businesses in the area- is washed out and difficult to read. Overall, it is too dark and the letters are faded)… idk. The place is rather dingy in appearance. Quite a bit of food is seen in warmers. The menu they display is not as detailed as the online menu. On to the food- The fattoush salad was delicious- had to use my own dressing for added flavor. I ate one chicken wrap and the chunks of chicken appeared to come from a kebab. The flavor of the chicken was outstanding, but the chicken itself was insanely dry. I had to break the chunks up to make them suitable for a sandwich. The bread for my wrap was not very soft, so it wasn’t the freshest. Meanwhile, I added my own sauce because I couldn’t determine which sauce went with what (& I wasn’t given enough sauce). I added cilantro, green onion, and my own sauces to the wrap. I pinched off the excess dry bread- and suffice to say, everything had a great taste. I’ll eat the other wrap tomorrow. The chicken breast strips on that wrap appear to be tender and juicy in comparison to the latter, but the seasoning is different on this one. I...

Holy crap. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The place is an absolute embarrassment. Everybody (including owner) just busy on their phones. It seemed like nobody cared. The lady taking order barely knew english which i had to go back n forth with her so many times until she finally understood.. got fountain drinks, tried to get ice, no ice. When i asked for ice, they are all screaming at each other to fix the ice machine until the lady was like “go next door to SUBWAY to get some ice”… Came back with two cups of ice and their drink machine doesn’t work, spits out extremely flat nasty sprite… The bathrooms are nasty! And didn’t even have any soap! Like nobody at this establishment gives a damn. Finally got our food and after a few bites everything was thrown away.. Beef was soo dry and overcooked. Wish i took a picture before throwing away!! Chicken was very raw. And their rice tasted like its been sitting there for weeks. Very disappointed. And I don’t think the guy, that looks like owner, even looked up from his phone for a second.. and we were there for a good half n hour! It was soo ridiculous. Waste of $50 bucks! Worst...

I recently visited Tannour Mediterranean Grill, and after reading the previous reviews, I initially had high expectations. However, I felt that many of the reviews might not be from people genuinely familiar with authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

I ordered beef and chicken shawarma, along with falafel, and while the falafel tasted good and the sandwich size was relatively large, the overall experience did not resemble authentic Mediterranean flavors in any way.

The shawarma, in particular, was extremely disappointing. It did not come close to the traditional taste of shawarma; it was merely pieces of meat wrapped in bread with no distinctive flavor or authentic seasoning. Moreover, the meat and the food in general were very cold, which significantly affected the quality of the meal and made the experience quite unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, (this was the worst shawarma experience I have ever had).
