As a long time repeat customer, I’m questioning if I’ll ever return after this last visit. I’ve never had any issues before but the waitress Emma literally screwed up every aspect of our order and we left after being there for an hour and a half without my wife getting what she wanted. Emma asked when we sat down “do y’all even want to put in an order?” Which was an odd question being that we’re at a restaurant. We had to tell her our order four times before she got it (it was just one pizza) She told us we could substitute toppings but when our bill came, we were charged for all of them. She got the pizza wrong, which the owner quickly tried to make right, bless her heart, the owner was super sweet. The second pizza comes out and it was also wrong! We didn’t have the time to wait on a third pizza or the heart to tell them it was still wrong. We didn’t want to sound like complaining people so we just took what we could get, paid for everything (including the extra topping charges) we were told wasn’t a charge, and left without my wife getting what she originally ordered. Been here countless times over the years and NEVER have had service like this. Emma was rude when we sat down, didn’t get the order correct after explaining multiple times, and charged us for things she said wouldn’t be a charge. Hopefully this was just Emma’s terrible waitressing and not a sign of how Joseph is turning for the worst. We’ll see what happens but we’ll probably never return. Sad to leave a place never getting what you ordered after waiting...
Read moreWe had such a fantastic time at Joseph’s Pizza. Everyone that worked there felt like part of the family that owned the restaurant. They were all welcoming, attentive, and seemed to have answers to all of our questions, as well as accommodate whatever we needed. They brought the kids pizza out first, cut it in half for our two little ones to share, got us all of the extra dressings and sauces we wanted (although we did pay for the extra sauces, it was well worth it to us). They had a decent selection of food and drinks. The antipasto salad, garlic knots, Joseph’s pizza and tiramisu were all fantastic. We ordered a side of Alfredo sauce to dip our garlic knots in and they brought out a huge side of Alfredo, which was delicious! We had so much left after we finished our garlic knots that we drizzled it on our pizza and it was out of this world! To feed four adults and two kids including several beers, glasses of wine, and carrot cake, on top of the aforementioned garlic knots, kids pizza, antipasto salad, large pizza, and tiramisu was about $100. This is certainly a more casual place and nothing fancy, but we were really pleased with the cost after spending twice as much to feed our group at another place the night before. My wife and I have been talking about it all day today. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the things we didn’t get...
Read moreMany pizza places to choose from in the beaches / Jax area. Chose this local small business for tonight's dinner with family. Was originally put off by the Bud Light products were the only ones on happy hour. Decided to stay even though they limited local brews. Ordered beers and the minors ordered water. We were charged for the waters! The kids eventually ordered soda with dinner. Charge for that too. We were charged for extra marinara with our appetizers even though we didn't ask for it. We assumed it came with the app (garlic knots). The calamari looked great, unfortunately it was over cooked - rubbery texture. The garlic knots were tasty, but 2 were still cold.? The pizza took over an hour to arrive at the table. We watched many take out orders walk out way ahead of us. When we asked our server about it, she admitted that the kitchen prioritizes uber eats orders ahead of dine-in patrons. #fail The positive was the pizza was very good and our server was great. Unfortunately the extra charges on our receipt invalidated great service. After this experience I highly doubt this beach local will ever return. If you want local patrons to #supportlocal than you need to show your support for your local dine in customers.
