Denny's — Restaurant in Auburn

Food took a while to come. Noticed they where short staffed and workers where having hard time pleasing all people. One lady didn't pay her $104 and some change bill becuase she was missing a food item, amd other food was not wither served to her or was very cold and never touched. She didn't want to pay for a specific item and the casher said she took it off then didn't and she asked her to take off the meal that wasn't served to her. And she refused only could offer her a % that didn't help with the meal being deducted. Very unprofessional handled so they walked out not paying the bill. 3 other family's where there to witness all this. But have waited many a very long time to be seated.

After they left she called her boss with a different story and said they walked out. Hopefully more of the story came out later...

One other thing I'd like to add the cook was in the back eating soup while cooking on the Job a total health violations (but felt bad for him becuase he probably didn't get a lunch break) I know times are though but the poor customer service to customers here was not a friendly environment. I could go on about a few things but I won't. I was just lucky our food tasted ok so I know they tried there best but I really think this place needs more better...

Food was typical of any other Dennys. When we were seated, the waitress took our drink order, then we waited for our food order to be taken. Took a bit but that’s okay. After our food was brought out our waitress didn’t speak to us until after another waitress had already gave us our to-go containers and cashed us out. This was one issue. The main issue is that I needed to change my 4 month old daughter, but when I walked into the bathroom, I was hit by an awful smell. I didn’t think much of it until I walked into the stall with the changing table and someone had left a huge mess of I don’t even know what kind of bodily fluid in/around the toilet. Obviously I wasn’t going to change my daughter in this environment as that’s disgusting. When I came out to ask if the bathroom could be cleaned, (keep in mind only the Women’s restroom has a changing table) the waitress from earlier seemed to already know about the problem. There was no sign up or anything to prevent people from entering the restroom. The mess was then left until she said she could get a manager or maintenance type person to come in to clean it. I ended up having to change my daughter on a bench because I’m not changing my daughter in my car in the cold. Completely ruined...

TLDR/ Food: Tasty, Service: Good, Ambiance: Fresh, Price: Decent

Our visit was for breakfast. We were greeted and sat right as we went in. Our server Mars was very attentive and they were super knowledgeable about the menu. They had advice about the myriad of breakfast options and that was both welcome and somewhat unexpected for a mid-tier diner restaurant.

The food arrived hot and exactly as expected. My ham steaks were on the small side, but reasonably priced as add-ons to my build your own grand slam, that was fine with me. My hubby ordered biscuits and gravy as well as a new menu item, the Spicy Moons Over My Hammy Sammy (Sandwich). He was satisfied with everything but needed to add a bit of salt, which would be good for those patrons who are watching their sodium intake.

Overall, this is probably one of the better mid-priced breakfast joints in Auburn, with our meal coming in at around $75 after tip (I ended up ordering French Toast to go as well).

While the ambiance of the restaurant isn’t fancy or over the top, a somewhat recent remodel has made the inside feel up-to-date and clean.
