ALDI — Local services in Auburn

I went into Aldi's for the first time last week, and wanted to compare prices for the products that I usually buy at other local stores. When I pulled out my phone and took a couple of pictures of price tags a store employee walked over and asked if she could help me with anything. When I told her that it was my first time in the store and that I was just comparing prices to see how much I could save she asked me to put my phone away and not take any more pictures - claiming that it was a "corporate policy". Of course I complied - it is their right to ban photography on their private property - but I was quite offended that they didn't want me to compare prices.

Later when I was at a nearby store I pulled out my phone to compare the prices -- and found that Aldi was higher on every one that I managed to take before they asked me to put my phone away. They do have low prices on many off-brand items, but like many people I keep my grocery list on my phone and I am not going to put up with rude staff questioning why I have a phone in my hand while I am shopping even if their prices were lower. The fact that they are higher than local average on name brand items...

Aldi in Auburn, IN has a great selection of food choices. The produce and bread always is fresh. I’ve begun the healthy lifestyle and I’m very impressed with the healthy foods that Aldi offers in their store to keep their customers on the right track. Since the pandemic, there have been several different items I have not been able to get for my family that they love. Some prices have really sky rocketed on some items as well. Aldi sometimes has a nice house plant selection too, when they are watered and taken care of. The store is cleaned and products are not in the aisle ways. What a great spot to get you food for the week . The day . Or the whole month. You will not be let down in the quality of the food the have here!!!!!!¡ You will be able to access it easy on easy off the highway. Just on the west end of town next to the highway. Could make a weekend trip and stay by the near hotels that are here. Also don't forget to pickup the cart for a quarter to use. Or bring a hand bag. What a great idea to do that so people bring the carts back. Hopefully you can make the quick trip in to get food for the kids and family. The prices are cheap compared to some...
