My grandfather used to say that everyone was made with just a little bit of stupid. It was the Lord’s way of balance. Occasionally, the Lord would need to make someone really smart, and therefore, someone else really stupid. It was a simple and childish way to explain little mishaps or encounters with ignorant people, a reminder to maintain patience.
Well, Grandpa, the day whoever designed this Chick-fil-A was born, somewhere else across the world a super genius was born. This has to be the most blatant example of poor planning I’ve ever witnessed. I honestly want to give this person help, because they may be a danger to themselves or others.
The car line is designed so that the middle of the line intersects with the store’s incoming and outgoing traffic. That means the north and south lanes are the drive-thru, while the east and west lanes are for receiving and exiting. In other words, you are completely at the mercy of people pulling into the store, deciding whether you get to proceed in line or if they cut right in front of you. So you can either pull into the middle of the intersection, cutting off the flow and impeding traffic or you can let people cut in front of you. That might work in a perfect world where everyone is kind and considerate, but this is Augusta—a feeding ground for the inconsiderate.
To add to that, your food may arrive cold or soggy due to the chaos of the setup. It truly feels like I’ve found the worst Chick-fil-A in existence. The only saving grace is the staff, who remain kind and considerate despite the...
Read moreMy grilled chicken sandwich was delicious and it didn't taste salty at all but I checked the sides salt levels before choosing one and could only eat a fruit cup because all the sides were VERY salty, for example, one serving of Mac and cheese was far over 1,000 mg. This is dangerously high for much of the population, especially seniors and salt-sensitive people struggling with high blood pressure. If the salt level could be dropped to a healthy level so the first flavor you taste is not salt, which was all I tasted when I tried their chicken soup years ago at the old location on Walton Way Extension, I would happily return to try other menu items. High salt content does run off millions of restaurant diners who ask first or access a nutrition graph to check first. You would be helping a lot of people live physically healthier lives and remain repeat customers at your restaurants instead of...
Read moreDrive thru is a nite mare. Old chik filet was easier and faster. In the last two weeks I have almost been hit 6 times in the drive thru exit and in the horrible parking lot terrible lay out!!!! Need two drive thrus put mobile somewhere else. I hope y’all did not pay a firm $ to design this horrible design. Parking lot is dangerous for families with children with them having to dodge all the traffic in the parking lot and drive outs to get to the restaurant. Even the servers in the drive thru admitted it is a terrible layout. Also workers who get off at nite sometimes have to walk to their cars in the dark in next parking lots. Very dangerous . I am very disappointed in chik filet for designing a restaurant that is inefficient and dangerous for its customers to use. Such a waste of space since the lot was large enough for a great layout...
