Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Augusta

I have tried to give this place multiple chances, due to the fact it is the nearest one to me. But, I will now drive farther to another location. Does every employee here have dysarthria,Selective mutism,Aphasia or just plain rude? They never great you! When you are in line, they just look at you when they are ready to take your order. This morning, the girl with glasses and huge bonnet on stared at me and a guy behind me. I stated " Good Morning" she just looked. I spoke only to test to see if she would greet us back. Nope just stared, so I asked " oh are you ready to take the next person in line order? She just nodded " yes". As I waited on my food I saw a older lady could be all of our grandma. She walked up the old lady said " good morning Darling" the girl didn't reply just looked at her. Also, she does ask ya name but only put the first 3 letters, so the light skin guy that's was making drinks don't call a name out he just say the name of the drink...all the guest were lost. I asked " why want you say a name"? He stated the names not fully on here just first 3 letters". Shouldn't he inform her she need to spell out the name? Besides today though they always act rude. Last week I was in there. The owner with black shorts, team Jordan sneakers appears as ex military was there fixing, cleaning up and then walked pass everyone went out side and fixed the chairs. He didn't say Good Morning, he looked like he don't talk either and don't have great customer service. Can't blame the workers if the owner isn't friendly why should the staff be friendly? Everyone there is always mad! Go work at a plant / warehouse if you don't...

Worst Tropical Smoothie Cafe I ever visited. My first visit was ok but then I went back for a second and they showed me how they really operate. First of all they weren't even busy. I placed a order on the app and the app told me based on my location they would make and bring items ordered out to me. Well I waited close to 30 minutes before calling to see why I hadn't received my items. The young lady who answered the phone chose to go back and forth with me about calling when I got to the store. She said at least three times after you place the order you are supposed to call when you arrive. No where after ordering did I see those instructions. However I was there at the time I called and instead of this employee saying ma'am we'll bring that right out to you she wanted to go back and forth I told her fine cancel my order but I refuse to spend my hard earned money at any establishment that has no respect for the custy. Bad enough times in this world are as crazy as they are now places are still hiring employees that could care less about the customer. I then called back to speak to the so called manager on duty and he didn't handle me any better. I like tropical smoothie but this location has seemed to drop the ball with service. There is a curbside pickup option and I ordered food before I even left my house 20 minutes away. Got here at 3:06 and ordered at 2:48 it’s 3:31 as I’m typing. I called the first time and let them know I was here. He said they would be out shortly. I called the second time about 15 minutes later and asked if it would be easier for me to come in to get my order if they are busy, she asked me what my order was and said to me we will be right out. About minutes has gone by and I’m wondering if my order was made at all in the first place.. very upsetting to have a curbside option and it not be functional. If they are short staffed i understand but she could’ve told me to come inside to grab it. But the curbside option may be more hassle than what it is worth just a heads up.

Update: waited almost an hour for cold fat filled quesadillas, watery smoothies, and a banana flat bread that was dripping with watery honey. I never write reviews but I paid $17.03 for my food today and was extremely unsatisfied and disgusted with service and quality of food. This location needs some real help they are probably short staffed but that should not stop the way quality...
