Aurora Tap House — Restaurant in Aurora Township

Honestly was expecting a lot more. I seen great reviews and seemed like a good place every time I drove past it. Popped in last weekend atmosphere was great until the bartender started being rude. Waited to order drinks for 10 minutes, when I got tired of waiting my friend proceeded to order the drinks and realized he forgot his card in the car. Took me 2 minutes to grab it. As he was explaining to me we’d just have to wait after the next customers in line, she turned around and began to curse my friend out screaming she can hear what he was saying and then proceeded to yell at him through a crowd of people and call him broke. Idk what kind of service the bartenders are trained in or if it was a bad night for her but if you want to be cursed out and ignored then this is the place for you, because that’s no way to treat any customer or person I’ll definitely continue to drive past...

Just came from the Tap House. Terrible treatment! We were not acknowledged when we came in. There was only 3 people at the bar, but some seats at the bar were not available to sit at due to cups of beer at the spot but no persons sitting there. We had to sit at the last seats on the very end. The bartender was talking to a customer who already had a drink. We figured that once he finished talking to him, he would come down and take our order, he had directly looked at us more than once, but instead he went over to the register, messed with some receipts and then turned back around and started talking to the same man again. We were very hesitant to go in this establishment about a year or so ago. When we walked in I was very excited to see how clean the bar is. A few months later they redid the table tops w lights which is very authentic & cool. We got to know a couple of the bartenders a bit & i must say Kara is one helluva bartender, id want her on my team for sure, very friendly always kind w a smile & yet will take care of business if need be.
