I had high hopes for this place, but sadly, it fell extremely short. I ordered Tostones, Acapurria, and Pork Mofongo and all of it lacked any kind of seasoning. While this is my first true experience with authentic Puerto Rican food, it begs the question, is all Puerto Rican food under seasoned? Beyond that, the Pork chunks were farrrrrr from tender as they were incredibly tough. The Mofongo itself had no flavor of garlic or onion or salt or pepper, it was just all bland food. The Acapurria had a nice texture to it, but again, nobody in the kitchen is seasoning the food. It's all cooked bland. And honestly, I get it, we all have different palates, but this is unmistakable. My mom, who HATES salt, goes "All this food could use salt"...which stunned me because she doesn't like salt with anything!!! This will be a first and last experience for me. The only positive takeaway, the girl at the register was very pleasant. To ownership, please consider seasoning your food and don't serve old, tough pork to guests. This is a very warranted review and is as honest...

Read moreGreat little shack attached to BP. We came on a wim but greatful we did! Came from an hour away. It is a very casual resturant which also have a mexican resturant within. Best of both world! The service was fast with one lady attending the cashier, to go, and the table side ordering. She was patient. We ordered a lot of food. The menu doesn't have prices listed which was odd, maybe they are under revisión. The space is literally small where they service from so they do have clutter but this is not meant to be fancy resturant. It was pretty hot in here thought. They only have a few tables. It's a eat and go place. Might be because of the fryers. The food is delicious! Usually I get Puerto Rican rice in other Puerto rican resturants and it's not fully right. This one was on point not over cooked/under cooked and flavors on point. The jibarito is very flavorful and did not dissapoint as well as the Mofongo. We also had a dessert treat with the bizcocho mojadito. Took me back to my Grandma's Baking! All in all, very glad we took a detour and we will be...
