I have ALWAYS loved chick fil a, especially because of their amazing customer service but I was extremely disappointed yesterday night. The manager on duty last night was extremely unprofessional and honestly I was very disappointed. I drove up at 8:55pm (I drove 20 minutes to get here) and there was as always a line of cars waiting to order their food. When I pulled up he put a cone in front of my car and said, “I’m sorry but we are closed” I proceeded to tell him if he could let me pass since it was not even 9 yet (literally showed him the time on my phone)and I was literally the last car. He proceeded to tell, “ No sorry we have employees that have to be gone by 9” I got extremely irritated when he said that bc the employees were obviously not going to be leaving in 5 minutes with the cars they had and I know it was HIM that wanted to leave ASAP. I even told him that I drove 20 minutes to get here and he still just said “no”. If a business closes at a certain time then it is expected to still allow customers , no matter how many there are until closing time. That cone should have been put at 9 which would have been understandable. This was my first time I EVER had a horrible experience with chick fil a. The manager on duty seriously should not be working there ruining their amazing reputation. One more car would have made a maximum of 5 extra minutes (at most) but instead he chose to leave a negative experience to a customer that will never be returning to that location. I have been going to Chick-fil-A since the 80s. And I've enjoyed your food for so long. But lately most of your employees just throw the food together. But after a few times that I have been upset how my food came out, I've talked to the manager Erica I explained to her how I like the pickles on a sandwich. Because every bite, whether it's a Chick-fil-A or a hamburger. Every bite should get a pickle down to the last bite. I understand that it's a fast food restaurant, but back in the 80s.When I used to work at a hamburger place and we were busy.We still manage to put a pickle in every corner.A square so that everybody gets a bite of a pickle. I stopped eating inside chick. Fil a for a while until this Saturday the 16th I went there and Erica was there and I asked her if I can have. My combo with an extra Patty with 4 pickles on the bottom, 4 pickled in the middle and 4 pickle on top of the chicken. And my French fries or waffle. Fries salted because I hate ketchup. She made sure that my order was properly correct and when She brought my order to me.She asked the taste of Waffle fries and they were perfectly salted and my sandwich Was made perfect even until the last bite even had a pickle. My pregnant wife and I decided to swing by here on our lunch break from work. We pulled up and got in the drive thru line at about 12:05. The line was moving slow as usual but it is lunch rush. Right after they took my order they "lost power briefly" so it was causing more delays. At this point it is now 12:25 and if my wife hadn't been there I would have left but she needed to eat.
When we finally got to thile window, they said they didn't have my order so they had to re-take it and re-swipe my CC (I currently have 2 pending charges, hopefully 1 goes away soon). I had to wait even longer now while they made my order - 12ct grilled nuggets w/a side salad and water and a spicy deluxe meal with no tomato and a sweet tea.
We left the drive thru at 12:50 and I had to hurry to get my wife back to work. Upon dropping her off we realized we were given the wrong salad dressing, only 1 ketchup packet, and an unsweet tea and the food was barely edible, the sandwich was cold and the fries were soggy.
We were given a card for 1 free sandwich (not even a meal) for the issues.
