Subway — Restaurant in Austin

These 4stars are for the young man that was busting his tail solo to make the orders. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon there was quite the line and one person behind the counter. Within 10m of waiting we see a male pop out of a side door with a maroon shirt on guess he was the manager on duty. He views the line,goes to the restroom then back into the side door only to be seen returning 15m later cause of a homeless guy coming in asking for the restroom key cause he had to take a Sh* (as the homeless man puts it) others walked in and quickly walked out after they noticed it was going to be a while.. Once reaching the front i noticed a lot of the food was still frozen and bread was running low. The young man working the counter apologized for the slowness as he hurried to make our sandwiches. I noticed how fatigued he was and striked up a small convo with him. Being able to see this young man smile for a minute and not feel like the world was on his shoulders was the best thing ever. Since we were the end of his line i certainly didn't try n rush him. My heart goes out to him. I know that if i were this young man after the way some of the customers had talked to him I would have quit on the spot. Especially knowing that my manager just sat in the back not helping. So as I stated these 4 stars are for that kid that was remaining strong when it is so easy to quit...

I hadn’t been to this location in a couple of years and I think it’s under new management. I think they’re seriously understaffed as well—no one was behind the counter when I walked in. They gave my online order to a DoorDasher and argued with me when I explained that I was not, in fact, Kendall. (Failure on two people’s parts there—I can only imagine Kendall’s disappointment when she received my vegan sandwich 😭)

The adult in charge doesn’t speak English, which is fine when you only have to know the names of sandwich ingredients, but very challenging when she had to call in her teen daughter to help me. Her daughter ended up making me a new sandwich and was very sweet but also messed up my order (she was understandably stressed.) The person in line behind me was having problems ordering their sandwich as well.

As a former employee of a high-volume Subway, I feel like I have very reasonable expectations. But it’s not worth the trouble with what they’re charging these days, no matter how badly you’re craving that sweet,...

PEDRO IS AMAZING.

I do not tend to leave reviews for fast food restaurants because the service is usual lay average and the same.

However, Pedro was amazing. He worked very quickly and made sure the sandwich was being made the way I liked it. Now I'm a little crazy with my sandwiches and ask for all of the veggies. This isnt an easy sandwich at all. He made sure there was enough banana peppers on my sandwich because I asked for extra! He was very friendly and made great conversation.

Then, I found out it was his first day! I couldn't believe it. He is running the store on his own and doing an AMAZING job. The service was amazing, the restaurant is clean, and he did everything great! 10/10 service and this subway and I will definitely come to this subway more often (and there is one 2 minutes from my apartment and this one is better).
