I was really looking forward to trying La Crawfish after hearing good things, but unfortunately, my visit left me disappointed and frustrated.
We ordered a dozen oysters, specifically 4 Korean BBQ, 4 Japanese Yuzu, and 4 Thai Chile. What we received were 12 plain oysters with only lime and Valentina hot sauce on the side—not at all what we ordered.
When I went up to the register to politely ask about it, the young man behind the counter just looked at me and said, “Is something wrong?” I explained, “Yes, we ordered flavored oysters—Korean BBQ, Japanese Yuzu, and Thai Chile. There’s no sauce on them.” He just stared at me for a moment and then said he’d go ask the cooks.
A few minutes later, he came back to tell us that those sauces “weren’t made yet.” This was at 6pm on a Friday night—peak dining time—and somehow the kitchen wasn’t ready with any of the featured sauces? No one warned us when we ordered, and we were just served plain oysters as if we wouldn’t notice. That’s incredibly disappointing and honestly feels like a lack of respect for the customer.
We were offered a refund only if we returned the oysters, which made it feel like the burden was on us even though the restaurant dropped the ball. Overall, there was no real apology, no effort to make it right, and certainly no hospitality.
La Crawfish may have a fun menu, but based on this experience, they seriously lack preparation and customer care. I won’t...
Read moreLet me start off by saying Me, my 2yr old and 11 month threw up after eating at this place Me and my family went to this place for the 1st time we spent $200. Their menu is all over the place. we told the server this was our first time being there she was very uninterested and didn’t really help out much was just letting us know what’s all separate things (she was no help at all she was a blonde older chick) We ordered 3 Bronze bowls, 3 drinks and I had asked her for seasoned fries (which she didn’t put in my order for our seasoned fries and was rude about it) The restroom had no soap or paper towels the toilets are very low to the ground. Our bowls looked like they barely had anything in them the shrimp was over cooked and mushy tasted dirty They didn’t have any flavor to them just spice. Our bowls come with a side of rice (with our choice of chicken/shrimp/crawfish in it) and some dessert. My kids eat the rice and dessert. All the sodas tasted water down including the sweet tea. The drink station was out of order and the server didn’t even bother to let us know. We had asked another server a young black girl about the drink station and if we could take our food to go she was like “oh we don’t have this or that” but it was clearly right behind her Worst place we’ve ever been too!! We tasted better crawfish at buffets and that’s saying a lot! I do NOT...

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at L.A. Crawfish off Ben White was beyond disappointing.
First off, we walk in, and the cashier is visibly drunk. We proceed to order, and I get a margarita. The same cashier serves it to me without any alcohol in it. I asked for it to be remade, and the second attempt was barely better—a watered-down margarita. To be fair, it had a decent amount of alcohol, but by then, the damage was done.
Then the food started coming out, and things only went downhill. The crawfish were super small, overcooked, and nearly impossible to eat. Usually, you can easily pull the meat out of the tail, but we had to work way too hard for it.
The crawfish pho was an even bigger letdown. The broth was bland and had an unpleasant fishy taste because of the crawfish. One of the best parts of eating pho is savoring the broth, but this one was so bad I left it untouched.
Finally, we ordered the beignets, which were basically just fried sticks. While they tasted fine, they were absolutely not beignets.
Some low ratings seemed over-exaggerated, but after my experience, I completely understand the frustration. Don’t waste your...
