here is what you need to know before coming here:
upon entering we were greeted warmly and immediately seated it was a slow night for them on a Friday night but then again you do not just walk into this place without at least $100 a person to really enjoy all they have to offer
so the buffet all you can eat that's about 60 bucks a person then of course they include 20% gratuity automatically cover your waiter
so I was gifted two gift cards to this place and they were very respectfully able to quickly just confirm and look up the balances on those gift cards and confirm I have learned just a hard way in the past always make sure when you are gifted something just double check before you even start the actual balance you were told is done to gift cards is actually on the gift cards
we immediately received it they took care of us they got us immediately drinks and they have by the way lots of drink options both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
My mom got a nice sparkly water with plenty of lime and a fancy wine glass
they accommodated me and got me hot water with lemons and lots and lots of hot water and lemons throughout the night which hit the spot I'm a huge fan of especially this time of season hot water and lemons!
by the way nothing here is cheap even the lemons and limes I could tell were organic fresh
immediately got us some rolls which I declined to save my appetite as a new I was coming here for the meat the meat and did I mention the meat!
they quickly got our plates got us a little cards did you flip like you do with all Brazilian steak places you've lifted up green to let the person know you're still wanting more and let the person who comes by know if you want but you have to offer or not
And this night I tried over a dozen different variations of beef before finally getting to the lamb and I can tell you right now this place hit the spot and every way imaginable on the pallet
also they have a bar area for those that want to sip on any number of a thousand different variations of wine to have here this is one of their specialties to have wine to appease just about everybody's pallet I can imagine
but this night I did not come for wine I came for meat!
and to treat my mom out who enjoyed all you can eat salad bar that was a part of the $60 price
My mom later don't shared to see regretted maybe getting a little too much from the salad bar not more the meats!
so you got all variation kinds of shrimp pork chicken wrapped in pork chicken that by the way just even just get the chicken leg not wrapped in chicken that's like marinated and honey and melts in your mouth the meat was literally some of the best chicken I've ever eaten in my entire life and that's saying something
also they brought us some different sauces to try and I can tell you I loved all of them
lots of handicap options lots of options for the kids and also fancy men's and women's restrooms.
The lamb chops are the best ever I've ever a tasted in my entire life melted in my mouth highly recommend them! Lamb steak was also amazing!
beef ribs or melt in your mouth with that just perfect combination of marination of just combination of seasonings and freshness and that charcoal that I love the mouth aftertaste
they had a orange sauce that's sort of like a Chipotle but with a kick perfect my all-time favorite had to bring me multiples of it marinated just about everything in that stuff and sucked it up off my plate was absolutely delicious
also they're green Verde salsa verde sauce was phenomenal with the lovely after kick burned it up
also did I mention I live dangerously hot so they brought me fresh cooked peppers with onions marinated and spices the light by a mouth on fire and every way imaginable to go with my food :-D
My mom opted for the flavorful and got lots of the tomatillo sauce which was phenomenal as well and goes with just about everything but a combination of flavors.
Also nothing came off as extra salty everything came off it's just high quality & everyone here works as a team...
Read moreWe have been to Fogueira Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse many times since it opened and until covid hit. After covid hit, we started ordering take-out from them in order to support their business as we knew many restaurants were suffering. We ordered about three meals from them each month.
Recently, when planning our teen son’s birthday dinner, he said he wanted to go to Fogueira Gaúcha. I went online and made a reservation, and because we had not dined in the restaurant in a while, I perused their website to make sure nothing had changed with their dress policy. Their website states “Proper Attire Required: thank you for not wearing tank tops, sleeveless shirts, flip flops, gym wear, short shorts, or baseball caps.” This policy is easy for us to follow.
When we walked into the restaurant, the hostess confirmed our reservation. She picked up menus and was about to escort us to our table when she looked us up and down and told us that their dress code was business casual and we weren’t dressed properly. She started naming off several clothing items that were not allowed, including Crocs. We were not wearing any of the items she listed except my son was wearing Crocs, as those are the only shoes that are comfortable for him. I explained to her that I had purposely checked the website before driving to the restaurant to make sure that we were following their dress policy. I explained that Crocs were not on the list of things he couldn’t wear and that the other things she mentioned were also not listed under their dress policy. She argued with me and said, “yes they are.” I again politely told her their website was not updated with the items she mentioned. She argued again that the current policy is on the website. Then she said, “well it's on our door outside”. I explained to her that having it posted on their door wasn't helpful because I couldn't read the sign on the door until after we were already at the restaurant. We don’t make a habit of driving around with dress shoes in our car, so we could not switch his shoes out. She then argued again that it was on the website. At this point, my husband stated he didn't want to eat there anymore because he didn't appreciate the way we were being treated. She replied, “so do you want to be seated or not?”
We were seated but still felt frustrated by the interaction. A waiter came up and asked us if we would like to order. I explained to him that we had had a frustrating experience when we first walked in and that we needed a minute to decide if we were going to stay. He nodded and walked off. Almost immediately another waiter walked up and we had the same exchange. This waiter asked us what happened and if there was anything he could do to make the situation better. I started to explain to him what had happened at the hostess stand. A man who I assume is the manager walked up and interrupted our conversation. I explained to him what happened and he said that the hostess was correct and we were in violation of the dress policy. I explained to him that I had looked at the website before we drove to the restaurant and that their website was not updated with the policy the hostess was describing. He was very rude and said that it WAS updated. At this point, my husband said he wanted to leave. The manager shrugged and motioned to the door.
I was shocked at the treatment we received. I have attached a screenshot of their website showing that it was not updated to what they are claiming is their current policy. NOT ONE of the items she mentioned that are forbidden is listed on their site. For that matter, the website does not mention their dress policy as “business casual,” as the hostess stated it does. Who knows what other information is incorrect on...

This past week, my wife (Oma) and I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary at Fogueira Gaúcha, and let me be clear, this was not just a great meal; it was a terrific, unforgettable dining experience.
We’ve dined in some of the world’s finest restaurants—from Europe to the coasts of the U.S. but what we encountered here was truly world-class, both in food and service. Oma herself, who is not easily impressed, leaned over after tasting her first few bites and said:
“This is the best steak meat I have ever had.”
And she meant it.
🥩 The Meats – A Carnivore’s Dream Come True We enjoyed a spectacular variety of meats including:
Picanha – their signature cut: rich, juicy, and absolutely divine.
Fraldinha (bottom sirloin): deeply flavorful and perfectly cooked.
Spicy & Garlic Picanha: packed with bold, balanced seasoning.
Rib Eye: indulgently marbled and melt-in-your-mouth tender.
Filet Mignon: wrapped in care and cooked to perfection.
Cordeiro: both the lamb chops and leg of lamb were exquisite—tender, earthy, and satisfying.
Each meat was brought to our table at just the right moment—hot, fresh, and expertly carved.
🥗 Salad Bar – A World-Class Starter We began with a visit to the salad bar, and I must say, even as a seasoned world traveler, I was amazed. This was not your average salad bar. No, this was a gourmet spread: fresh vegetables, hearts of palm, marinated artichokes, cured meats, fine cheeses, and sun-dried tomatoes. The presentation and quality were easily on par with high-end European hotel buffets or premium cruise line offerings.
🍽️ The Sides – Comfort Meets Craft To accompany our feast of meats, we enjoyed:
Mashed Potatoes – perfectly smooth, buttery, and comforting.
Caramelized Bananas – a delightful sweet counterpoint to the savory meats, done just right.
👨🍳 The Service – Michelin-Star Worthy The staff was impeccable, uniformed, professional, and incredibly attentive without being intrusive. Their timing was flawless. Plates were cleared promptly, water glasses were never empty, and each server was polite, knowledgeable, and respectful.
We felt genuinely honored and cared for throughout the meal—exactly what you want when celebrating a special occasion.
💰 Value – Worth Every Penny While we don’t typically indulge at this price point, this meal was absolutely worth it. The quality, the atmosphere, the service, and the flavors delivered a value far beyond the final bill. It wasn’t just dinner, it was a celebration of love, joy, and culinary excellence.
In Summary: For us (Opa and Oma), this was a solid 5-star experience, from the first slice of picanha to the last sip of our celebratory beverage. If you are looking for a place to mark a special moment or simply to enjoy a top-tier dining experience, Fogueira Gaúcha at The Domain in Round Rock is a must-visit.
Bravo to the entire team for making our 15th anniversary truly...
