Update - Gotta drastically lower the rating. First some positives though: the Buy 1 Get 1 deals on Uber Eats are pretty economical and some of the dishes that fall under that deal are decent enough. The biryanis overall are very mediocre but passable, especially if you get 2 for the price of 1, even though they have lowered the portions by a lot.
But today we tried the Hyderabadi Goat Biryani and unfortunetly it was the worst biryani we have ever had in Austin. Yes it was that bad. It was so mushy and unbelievably salty. The fIavor profile, spices used were not right and I can't in good conscience recommend them.
Old review: They had some buy one, get one free deals going on so I did delivery a few times. First time around, I picked chicken tikka masala and butter chicken masala. While I couldn't tell the difference in taste other than one had green peppers while the other didn't, both were actually pretty tasty and met expectations.
Second time around, I ordered the ghee roast chicken biryani and the ghee roast goat biryani. It was a different preparation of biryani that I have not had before. To me it was almost like polao (pilaf) with seasoned meat. The rice was mostly white with light seasoning while most of the flavor came from the meat. I really liked it actually and would try it again.
Overall, it was good and it was nice to have something a little different than the other...

Read moreAs someone who been in kerala for a majority of their life, i was delighted to see a place where they served Malabar cuisine in Austin. But i have to say, the food here is down right horrendous. I order the Thalassery dum biriyani and i can tell you the only thing you got even remotely right was the pappadom. The biriyani rice was undercooked and the chicken had no flavor. The whole thing just had the taste of the onion which were garnished on top of the biriyani. I doubt the owners even know what authentic malabari/Thalassery biriyani tastes like.
I've seen lot of bad reviews for this placr under which they'll say we'll like it the next time we order but trust me when i say this guys, you have to...
