If you’re thinking about ordering, just do it! The food is amazing and Alexandria’s customer service is out of this world. There was a misunderstanding with my order and it was canceled. Alexandria called me personally to rectify the issue and offered to remake my meal free of charge.

I got the following: Bourbon Wings in Ca’Gave: 4/5 Great smoky flavor and crunch. A bit smaller than I would have liked, but tasty.

Gullah Brunch with catfish: 5/5 The flavor in this dish is out of this world. I’ve never had anything like this before. The catfish was seasoned well and crunchy. The polenta grits with the okra and peppers is such a unique flavor combination that is so fresh and delicious. The aioli on top is really like the cherry on top that ties the savoriness of the dish together.

Shrimp and Grits: 5/5 These are not your everyday shrimp and grits - and that’s a good thing! I get shrimp and grits all the time, so I’ve had them made so many different ways, but nothing like these. The fusion of cajun and Gullah flavors in this will knock your socks off. My only complaint is that I wanted more shrimp, but that’s because I’m greedy lol!

She also added 2 drinks. I’m not sure the names of them, one was orange and the other was red. Both were delicious! Sweet, but...

I tried all the deserts and they where simply heavenly! My gosh, me and my wife where in shock when we tried them. We thought they where going to be good, but Alexandria’s deserts blew us out the water. My personal favorite was the melanin goddess, just because of how rich in taste the chocolate was and the cookie chunks in there just balanced it out beautifully. My wife’s favorite where the banana pudding and key lime, she couldn’t really pick out a favorite, but nonetheless she loved all three as well. The customer service was stellar. We’ll definitely be coming back again. I’m also exited to see what they have in store with their upcoming hot food menu. I can only imagine how good that’s gonna taste! I am always on the lookout for new restaurants in my neighborhood (Hancock/Hyde Park) and was intrigued when I saw the page for LE Meals. I had never seen or heard of it (despite the glowing reviews). Needless to say the crowd was right.

We got the Gullah Brunch for two. I have never had fried catfish that is so moist and flaky on the inside yet crispy on the outside. The polenta was very flavorful and the sauce to top it off was amazing. Disregard the unassuming looks of the restaurant, it is well worth the visit (take out only).
