Great coffee shop in the West Campus area. It's right around the corner from Starbucks, but the coffee is 10x better, and it is also cheaper. There is a tiny seating area in the actual coffee shop, but lots of outdoor seating as it is a part of Urban Outfitter's space 24. So if it's cold it's not that awesome to sip coffee there. They have lots of seasonal drinks but they sometimes run out of stuff so things are off the menu.
They also offer baked goods. On the bakery side of the shop, you can see the baker actually hand making all the treats. That way you know that they're all hand made!
The also have a punch card so you can have a free drink at the end of finishing 10 punches. You can also combined cards if you have many of them for the free drink. Theres no parking on site so you'll have to pay to park.
We ordered a mocha and a black drip. Both of them were so well made and the coffee doesn't have that bitter flavor that you wouldn't like. They offer almond milk too for those who prefer...
Read moreJust not good, no matter how many times I try it. The lattes are horrible and taste like dirty water, the iced white mocha was so sweet i could barley drink it, the bees knees tasted like grass and water. The staff is so sweet but it is too expensive to never get a consistent cup of coffee. Today, i tried a breakfast sandwhich and it was SOAKED in siracha mayo, not like a little on one of the buns, but I'm talking top, bottom, on the bacon, etc. I was getting mouthfuls of sauce. I will officially never be back, no matter how convenient. There are so many better options like merit, cappys or wolfies (in moody), or foxtrot is even better than this place.
EDIT: In your response, you said you were pretty sure you handed me my pastry, which is funny because I didn't say anything about not receiving my pastry. I said the breakfast sandwich I got was terrible and completely soaked in mayo. Maybe also read the reviews people leave before responding in a super passive...
Read moreThe woman at the register was not proactive in working out information for the order, so it fell on the barista making the drinks to help us. We ordered two large specialty drinks, and she put two mediums - that's not a big deal. But when someone requests alternative milk, that's your time to make sure they know about the pre mix for your specialty drink and that it's not syrups that can be paired with other milks. Meaning I wouldn't be able to actually have the drink I ordered. The barista making the drinks was kind enough to make me something else after we discussed the drinks.
The food: The rhubarb pastry was fabulous, very tasty. The scone was great, had more of a muffin texture on the inside, but the outside had a nice crunch. But I have questions about the turkey croissant - I'm going to tell myself I paid for fancy turkey and thus there wouldn't be very much in there. I'm not happy with the lack of filling, but the croissant itself was a...
