Mousam Spice House #3 — Restaurant in Austin

Sometimes a high rating on Google is due to deception. The oldest Google review for this business is five months old. One of the Google reviews mentioned that they’ve changed the name, but it’s the same business. I ordered the butter chicken and the butter naan. The total was a little less than $18.00. The portion size was generous. I ate most of the buttered chicken and naan, but I really didn’t enjoy it. In fact, as I was driving, I passed a Panda Express, and thought to myself I’d rather be eating Panda Express than this. For the chicken you get white meat that is cut into a large 1 by 1/2 inch chunks. The butter masala sauce taste off. Almost like it was something that came out of a jar and then maybe doctored a little bit. The atmosphere felt dangerous. This is a food truck in a convenient store parking lot with many people loitering outside who will approach you and ask you for things. Unless you live in the neighborhood and you’re only vehicle is a scooter. I recommend driving to a nice Indian restaurant and skipping this food...

This place is Awesome! I am a regular customer here. The food is really good. They give a decent portion of food and it has a lot of flavor. There arr only two things I dont like. 1. Price is a little high I think if they came down like $2-3 I would probably eat there everyday its that good. 2. When I first came here they didn't take me serious at first when I told them what I wanted. They like a lot of places assumed that because I am a white boy and I say I want it spicy as they can get it, but they assumed I couldn't handle there spice they got but I finally got them to give me the spice I want though honestly could be spicier but it is still really...

I got the shrimp masala and oh my lordt it was delicious!! The rice was a really yummy fresh texture and the masala sauce had a fantastic seasoning. I got medium spicy which still had quite a kick but wasn’t too intense. I also got my food pretty fast. Would come here...
