April 2025:

They will not give you tap water. You have to buy a bottle of water. That said, the chips and salsa are free, the salsa was relatively spicy hot.

Will probably go back, but would not want to pay full price, meaning I think in general it should be a little cheaper for what you get across the board. Probably worth it for the specials, if you're deliberately target the best deals.

They have some pretty decent specials if you come at the right time / the right day. See photos for daily specials.

All of the meats they did really well, I got the fajitas which was what waitress said was one of the favorites, in fact, the only one she named when asked. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the chicken was good. Plate was large and there was a lot of food, it came with another plate with sour cream, a tiny bit of guac, salad, rice, beans. Although menu says rice and rice, haha.

Got the queso, very mediocre, this definitely needs improvement. Everything other than the meat, was also decent, but not wonderful. Ended up being a pretty good meal, but could use some improvement with the guac, queso. Flavoring of other things such as beans.

They have no draft beer, but only bottles and cans, these are relatively inexpensive $4+ to $6+. Their cocktails are a bit more expensive, $10+ But likely a bit more.

My friend got a custom flavored margarita, it was very mediocre tasting, but decorated nicely. Not particularly inexpensive. I'd stay away from the mixed beverages, and probably get a beer.

They have a big parking lot, so no worries on parking.

The atmosphere is awkwardly well lit. They have nice tables and chairs, but almost no booths, it's almost like a nice McDonald's with occasional colorful LED lights, haha there's also a weird stage there in the venue. Makes me wonder if they do karaoke... Or if that stage was there when they got the place. Atmosphere could certainly use some improvement. Probably just dimmer lighting...

Was exited to try this place after seeing the reviews and the fair prices online which wasn't the same as the menu inside everything was at least $3/4 more.we were completely disappointed ... Only giving a one star on food because it won't let me select none. And I guess the chips were good. But everything else was far from great. My husband got a burrito which was wrong & that was completely torn up and mentioned it twice about the burrito wrap and they did nothing about it . The rice and beans they offered him to fix the wrong type were old and dry and you can tell it was sitting all day... I tried the two meat plate at First w barbacoa and lengua and both were super dry and tasted like boiled meat w no seasonings when brought to their attention the server said there was salsas.... completely unedible...so I tried the carne asada which was decent compared to the rest. My mom got crispy taco plate which who isn't a picky eater and even said it wasn't good and agreed the rice and beans tasted old... Still two hours til closing not serving fresh food.. my daughter got the kids pizza and fries which we thought was a safe option but the pizza was a cheap frozen cheese pizza that we could've made better in our own airfryer & wasn't worth $8.... I also get that not everyone makes their own tortillas but at least offer decent store brand Tortillas for what you're charging.. and to top off while we were leaving a "customer was going in w no shoes on completely bare foot.and they allowed him to order and sit and the bar top...... All in all never been so disappointed w a restaurant and not...

Came here to try their menudo, and came away satisfied with it I suppose. It was very clean, no smell, but also a bit basic. It was literally just tripe, with a broth, and a side of a onions, cilantro, a lime and jalapenos to add in if you chose to do so. With a small salsa, and your choice of 4 corn or flour tortillas. ...I guess I'm used to more complex menudo with hominy and maybe a deeper tasting broth. I actually went to the store and bought myself a can of hominy and boiled it again with hominy in it (I'm not knocking their menudo just because my preferences are different).

The main reason I knocked two stars off is because the inside of the building looks pretty nasty, like I practically expect rats living in the ceiling it looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the mid 1980's. And I don't think the A/C was working, as they were using a small indoor unit with the exhaust going out a hole in the wall in one of the dining rooms. I'd rate the look of the place a straight up 1 out of 5 stars, and wouldn't bring family or friends here - takeout only IMO. I'm not sure I'll...

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine, look no further than this restaurant. From the moment I stepped inside, I felt like I was back at my dad's house in Phoenix, where his wife makes some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The menu is full of classic Mexican dishes, including Menudo, flautas, and napolitos (cactus), all of which were expertly prepared and tasted incredible. I particularly enjoyed the Menudo, which had a rich and flavorful broth and tender pieces of beef tripe. The flautas were also outstanding, with a crispy shell and perfectly seasoned filling. The napolitos were a unique and delicious dish, and reminded me of home in the best way possible. What sets this restaurant apart, however, is the authenticity of the food. Every dish is made with care and attention to detail, and it shows in the flavors and textures of the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also warm and welcoming, making for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.
