We just had dinner here and we must have caught them on an off-day because there could have been no other explanation for the experience we had.

1.) We walked in and it was uncomfortably warm. There's only 1 small ceiling for the entire main area. I asked our server (she had pigtail braids) if the other fan was broken or if it could be turned on. She said she had to go check with a different staff member because of something with the owner. Came back and said she needed to ask chef in the back who would know for the answer for some reason? Long story, short: nothing came of it so everyone in my party was glistening with sweat. Not until what seemed like a shift change towards the end of our dinner because a different employee came in much later and turned on a portable fan. Yay?

2.) Once we ordered our food via mobile order, the server brought us lukewarm water while we wait. We had to ask for ice because it was not going to cut it in this hot environment but she immediately offered another table when she brought their water so I guess that was thoughtful for realizing that with the next guests...?

  1. A male bartender/server came over about 15 mins after we ordered to let us know they didn't have one of the ingredients for the Moscow mule so our friend had to order something else. Fine, not a big deal, she ordered a cider instead. Our friends got their burgers shortly after that but it was not the Classic that they ordered; it was the Oribello. See next comment.

  2. At this point, we've been waiting for awhile for our drinks. A blonde female bartender came over because she sees only 1 of us had a drink and 2 of us had food (albeit, the wrong one - see above). She asked if we all got our drinks yet, we said no, she apologized, and that she would get on it. She also informed us she would remove the Moscow mule charge off their bill and comp the cider that my friend ordered then asked if we needed anything else. We let her know that the burgers my friends ordered were not the correct ones. She apologized again and said they could keep the burgers and they'll send out the right ones. They declined so the food was sent back. When they finally got their burgers again 10 mins later, it was the same exact burger...except they just removed the Filipino hot dogs from the original Oribello burger, forgot the pickles and bacon for their additional toppings (but kept the bacon jam that only came on the Oribello burger), and the fries were hard. We had to ask for ketchup twice. Then they finally brought our drinks except mine. That was the last time we saw our original server (the braided pigtails).

  3. The same male employee came over again to check on us. We asked for the wait time for my husband's entree since we had our food now except him. He let us know that he'll check on it and we asked if we were missing anything. I asked for the ube tres leche cake to be served with the rest of the food since we didn't know how long it would take at that point or if they'll even remember to bring it out later. I also let him know his blonde female coworker gave my drink to another table who sat down more than 30 mins after us. He apologized on her behalf and would look into it. When the male employee asked the blonde about my drink, I read her lips and she mouthed to him "She just added it", which I clearly didn't because I put my order in the same time as my food. I watched her make my drink and she filled it up with 85% ice and 15% drink even though the other girl who had my drink had the opposite ratio. She was "kind" enough to remove the drink from our bill though.

  4. The ube tres leche was not great. The cake batter itself was dry and it felt like they just quickly drenched it in some ube syrup to give it the "wet" look but it was not like HEB tres leches. The ube pina colada had more pina colada than ube.

TL;DR below average experience with subpar food and inattentive staff except the guy who at least actually checked...

Some of the best and most unique food I've had in Austin!

I had the mozzarella sticks, a slice of supreme, a slice of meat lovers, and split an ube tres leches cake for dessert. For cocktails, I had the banana old fashioned and tried a taste of my partner's ube colada.

Right off the bat, the ube tres leches is maybe the greatest dessert I've ever had. I would go just for this cake. I will never split one again; I will eat it all. I will dream about this cake.

I spent some time living in the North East and NJ, so I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob. This is some of the best pizza I've had in Austin. The pizza was perfect NY style. Thin crust, cooked perfectly, and generous toppings. The supreme was the best slice but they were both great. The Filipino sausage has a sweetness to it that makes the flavor incredibly unique and pairs so well with the cheese, crust, and other toppings. I'm excited to come back and try some of the other specialty pies!

The mozzarella sticks were top notch. Generously sized with lots of high quality mozzarella. Not greasy at all. Perfectly melty and the breading was flavorful and well seasoned.

The cocktails were also excellent and wholly unique. The banana old fashioned had a banana sweetness that paired well with the whiskey. Went down smooth. The ube colada, though, was special. Tasted like drinking an ube milkshake, albeit one that could get you drunk. Indulgent in the best way.

The atmosphere and vibe was immaculate. The staff was above and beyond welcoming and friendly. The owners were super awesome and chatted for a while, making sure we were all good and sharing some of the story of the restaurant.

We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. With such unique food and drink, this is the #1 place I would take someone to if they were visiting from...

Had an awesome night out with the guys at Oribello's Bar and Kitchen! This place is the perfect spot to kick back, catch a game, and grab some grub. We even got to meet "D," the owner, who was super cool – turns out he's behind some other successful restaurants in the area, which explains why Oribello's is such a great spot.

One of the best things about Oribello's is the vibe. It's definitely a sports bar, but the music wasn't blasting so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk, which is always a plus. The staff were also super accommodating – they even switched the TV to the Lakers game for us!

We definitely came hungry, and Oribello's did not disappoint. The chicken wings were on point, and the pizzas were amazing. We had the SAL SUPREME (a MUST-TRY, seriously!) and the Meat Lovers, and both were delicious. For drinks, we kept it classic with some beer, but we also tried their specialty cocktail, the Ube-Colada, which was surprisingly good!

The interior is well-thought out. They have some sports memorabilia on the walls. Some prominent sports figures even a pic of Manny Pacquiao was on there. Their indoor chairs showcased the intricate design that is mostly found in Filipino furnitures. You’ll know what I’m talking about once you visit. ;)

If you're looking for a cool spot to chill with the boys, catch a game, and have some great food and drinks, Oribello's Bar and Kitchen is the place to be. Five stars...

Just got back to the U.S. from the Philippines, I’ve been traveling all over on business. Currently in Killeen, Texas and I was looking for a place to celebrate Philippines Independence Day, so I googled events and found this place. After back to back meetings all day, I was starving, drove an hour down to Austin to eat some Pilipino food and celebrate this day. As I pulled in I seen a lot of young Pilipinos, I was kind of surprised to see this many. As I walked in, there wasn’t any empty seats or tables so I ordered at the bar. Was told an hour wait for food which turned in to an hour and half. Which I get it they was busy and the owners apologized multiple times. But after a long day, an hour drive and starving, plus I had to drive an hour back, I was ready to go. If you’ve made it this far in this short story review, I was actually impressed by the food even though it wasn’t warm by the time I got to my Airbnb. Which I thought if I eat and I’m already tired with an hour drive back, I rather wait before I eat so I can lay down relax and write this review. As a 40 year old Americano Pilipino business owner of 5 international companies going on 17 years in business, I love to see other Pilipinos making moves! With that being said, I would definitely come again and highly recommend! Happy Independence Day 🙏🏼❤️🇵🇭
