Truly the worst and most bizarre experience, go elsewhere.
TLDR: staff was unbelievably rude, the process was highly disorganized and it seems you need to take time off of work to deal with it. Staff made everyone uncomfortable with snarky comments.
Nowhere on the website does it mention drug screening beginning in the afternoon, but there are multiple different times posted inside stating when screening begins. I arrived when the lab opened, signed in, and went home to wait. I never got a text so I went back in the afternoon. I was there 30 mins before staff told me that every time I leave, the âsystemâ kicks me out of the queue (also posted nowhere to be seen.)
I signed back in and waited 45 minutes. I had to take a meeting and stepped outside to do so (deciding just to eat the additional wait time as it was important.) I was gone 10 minutes and got the âweâre ready to see youâ text while out.
When I mentioned the text to the man at the desk he snarkily replied âyeah I called your name, you were gone, where were you?â And that every time I go outside the office I wait longer. I mentioned I had to take a call outside, âso itâs my fault?!â ??? Mans wanted to FIGHT.
ANYWAY he gave me instructions for peeing in the cup and asked me condescendingly if I could follow the instructions. He told me to pee in the cup for 1 minute, then told me I âpeed too muchâ and made snide comments about my...
Read moreHORRIBLE Experience here! I never use LabCorp, normally go to CPL ( much better). But, I was stuck here since I'm going to new functional provider based in Houston and couldn't travel there for lab draw. She mailed me lab order to go to a local LabCorp- no choice. I came to this location since it was the only one in Austin that opens on Saturdays. Check in process was ok, but waited 12 business days for results, to find out they couldn't run 1 of my thyroid tests due to insufficient specimen. I had to get stuck twice by a lady lab tech, I even asked her if the 2 tubes was going to be enough, since it was a long test order and she said yes. Now, I'm having to wait until I hear back from site supervisor to plan to get all of the thyroid test redone as recommended by the functional provider. This is causing a delay on my treatment plan consultation and to top of it off, I'm paying out of pocket for this, not insurance. I hope LabCorp makes it right and correct this inconvenience...
Read moreBefore you come to this location (711 W 38th St B2, ATX) you need to recognize the process is VERY VERY slow. There is only ONE phlebotomist at this location; however, the guy here is VERY VERY thorough. And that is exactly what you want in a phlebotomist. He reads the orders, he takes his time making sure he is doing what he is supposed to do. He even found errors on one of my lab orders and corrected it. I get blood work done fairly frequently. I have had Quest do my blood work. Got in and out. They lost my blood work and a fecal sample. Switched to Clinical Pathology, got in and out. They lost my sample TWICE, called me in for a "recollection" and they lost the recollected sample. As long as I live in Austin, I will use this Labcorp at this specific location; however, if you are in a hurry don't come here and definately don't come with an attitude. There is only one guy in the back and he is really...
