I live across the street and try to save on gas by walking to the walk up window at P Terry’s. It’s always a reminder of how being treated less than human is in that experience an I used to come every day to get hamburger for my spoiled dogs so that’s a lot of money you quit getting out of me already. The last time I went to the walk up window it was a horrible experience. It usually is, but I waited in an extra long time before I returned. I ordered two double meats all the way no fries and ended up with only one sandwich and fries and I went back to go order correctly and got sent home again with the wrong order. Just one sandwich each time I went back a third time walking in the hot sun completely infuriated the third time And the manager looked at me and told me he would compensate me for the sandwich. After three tries coming back back-and-forth, I felt that was satisfactory and I would not be here vivisecting This business for always treating walk up people like they’re homeless people. I absolutely hate the way y’all make me feel. It is the worst burger experience in Austin I can think of. I will absolutely never go there again and I will go out of my way to recommend everybody to avoid this place like a plague because after hours of trying to deal with getting my food right, I am not hungry anymore and I’m just angry trying to find every outlet possible to complain about what a horrible experience you will have if you come to this less than sub par burger place that treats you like a homeless person that’s bothering them. Everything about the way I feel right now was the opposite of why I went to go out and treat myself to something easy to eat tonight. I will never go to that place Again, even if someone else is buying because I feel like I was going to get a heart attack and y’all should really look up the footage of my hand shaking when I was paying after my third visit. I felt like I was gonna have the heart attack without the hamburger. I’m too old for that level of incompetence and rudeness and lies thanks for nothing but stress I didn’t need. And I filmed the entire third visit, but there’s no link here for me to upload...
Read moreYou know how Spotify has a “random shuffle, pick any song you may have on your entire playlist” option. This is that, in fast food form. You never know what you might get but I promise you that you won’t get what you asked for.
Some examples: I’ve been asked “are you sure?” when I had to tell the worker that they forgot my fries. My significant other ordered just an iced tea on the way home. They charged his card and the worker came to bring him his iced tea and asked “wait, all you had is the iced tea?” He responds, yes. She says “Oh I charged you $114”. There was no one else in the drive-thru, so not sure the mix up here. Another time my significant other ordered a burger and fries, and he received just a bag of cookies. He came back to get the food he ordered and they immediately asked “did you get the wrong food?” They then asked for the cookies back and gave him his original order. I came to get a burger at a slow time and after ordering, a runner came up to my car asking “hey do you know how much your total was??” I ordered a chicken sandwich with wheat bun, no cheese or tomato, it’s repeated back as “no cheese, tomato, no pickle”. Me, “no, please include pickle.” At the end of the order, repeated “okay so a chicken sandwich with just mayo & lettuce” I got a chicken sandwich with mayo & lettuce, regular bun.
Papa Terry, I admire your philanthropy and values but this P. Terry’s needs an Undercover Boss or a redo. I enjoy your other locations but as a restaurant worker/line cook myself, this location could do so much better. I don’t like to write negative reviews, we all have bad days, but after giving this location so many chances, I’ve...
Read moreAs always, I bring you Brutally honest reviews -- this time it's about their banane bread. I've been going to P'Terry's since they had only their first store on N Lamar....Their banana bread sucked then and it still sucks now !! Nothing has changed ! You seriously need half your soda to wash it down - it almost seems like work to get through the thing. Ok and I can't help myself - What the FRICK is up with those chocolate chip cookies?? This is a chocolate-chip-oatmeal concoction mostly devoid of chocolate but nice and "hearty" from the idk 28-grain mix they put in there. And when you buy a chocolate chip cookie - you don't want a multigrain cookie with healthy intentions . They sell a cookie comprised of big clumpy globs of grains, oats, and idk road gravel perhaps - their cookie is a farce !! In fact there is only 1 thing I eat there and I have to customize the heck out of it to make it tolerable. There is a lot of Hype with P'Terry's. They did find a "formula" for success, but they have very questionable food. Then they tried a Taco Business -- that failed....
