..07/01/2024..Another super services from Jefferey / Server + Connor / Manager and we were here to celebrate our 16yo Birthday @ the Pappasito's Cantina in Austin on 6513 i-35 location. Connor was very nice and genuine of making sure customers are enjoying to dine here. We were checking around 330p with the front staffs and the wait was like 15min but the staffs were forget about us until 30min much later, i came up and asked from my check-in and Mr Conner was there to address the mishaps and got us the table right away. The front staffs NEED to be more professional and keep up with all the appt (like first-in, first seating..The foods + drinks are alway most awesome tasted. Our favor has always been the BEEF fajitas ! ..09/25/2023..Took my wife and kiddos here to celebrating our 31yrs anniversary. Ms. Bailey was our server and the manager in charge name is Ernie Pẽna. The restaurant has a situation next to my table and quite frankly we were a little scare, but Ernie de-escalated the situation like a pro. Because of his handling and there were nothing happen at the restaurant or any of us within the situation table. A few minutes later, Ernie took his time to my table and making sure we are ok and enjoying our foods. I really think if Ernie didn’t handle well, things can get pretty ugly quick.
I would like to thanks Ernie and recognized his handle things so everyone can enjoying their foods and in a safe environment.
08/02/2023 My family and I have dine here almost 29yrs. Pappasito’s is the only place we come for beef fajitas, other grills, yummy desserts and drinks.
On this day, my server was a young man named “Hunter” and he was an excellent server w/ an awesome attitude. Hunter was prompt from beginning to the end. Make our dine in experience w/ lots of like.
Malik / restaurant manager was also great leader on this shift. I can see Malik was like a music conductor (but on the restaurant’s floor) to make sure his customers are enjoying their time here.
If this restaurant location have many of “Hunter” & “Malik” then I would dine here every day 😃.
Thx you Hunter and Malik for your serving us and we are looking forward to our next...
Read moreI live in Arizona where it's hard to go a block without seeing some sort of Mexican restaurant. As such, it's pretty hard to impress me when it comes to Mexican food but this place far exceeded my expectations. I was here visiting for a family reunion so we made a reservation for a large group. The reservation process was a breeze and they happily answered any questions we had. When we arrived, they showed us to our table within a few minutes and happily accommodated any requests we had. The restaurant was COMPLETELY packed but our waiter was friendly, attentive, and cheerful throughout the entire evening and our drinks were never empty. Our food also arrived surprisingly quick for how busy the restaurant was and it was hot and fresh. Pappasito's has lofty claims of having some of the best fajitas in town and after having tried them, I can see why. There wasn't a single person at our table who wasn't amazed with how tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned the meats were. Several family members also got tacos and enchiladas and we were all impressed, not just by the flavor and quality ingredients, but with the presentation as well. Eating is something that should be experienced with all five senses and Pappasito's has clearly kept that in mind and delivered in every aspect from flavor to beautiful plating. Since it was a special occasion, we obviously celebrated with some top shelf drinks and those were fantastic as well. I highly recommend ordering from their specialty cocktail menu, as you will not regret it and there are more than enough options to pique your interest. I will say that this was a slightly higher priced menu than you would see at most Mexican restaurants but as the saying goes; "You get what you pay for." so the price is well worth it. Keep in mind, that with quality also comes popularity, so I would highly recommend a reservation even for smaller groups, as there was definitely a noticeable wait for walk-ins when we arrived. To summarize: There aren't many Mexican restaurants that take the time to stand out, so whenever one does, it's worth taking notice and I definitely recommend you come...
Read moreOne of the most underrated features is their reservation table service, which many diners overlook. I highly recommend using it through Google Maps. If you're hungry and want to avoid a wait, this tool can make your dining experience smooth and hassle-free.
Once you're seated, expect to enjoy some of the best Mexican chips and salsa around—always fresh, never cold or subpar.
I highly recommend the fajita plate, whether you prefer chicken or beef. The food is consistently excellent. It’s truly impressive that no matter where you are—Houston, Austin, or San Antonio—you can count on the same high quality across locations.
The charro beans and Spanish rice are solid side dishes, though their quality can vary slightly between restaurants. I suspect it depends on how long they’ve been held—occasionally, the beans may be a bit watery or the rice can be dry, but that’s rare.
The guacamole is always fresh and flavorful, and the tortillas are served hot (just ask if you want more).
We don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t recommend cocktails or beers, but I strongly suggest paying attention to which waiters are especially attentive. When you find a great server, show your appreciation with a generous tip—it goes a long way.
In my experience, top-notch service includes drinks and extra chips and salsa being brought out consistently, often without having to ask.
Lastly, get familiar with the fajita plate options. Don’t be tempted by the smaller single plates—they can inflate your bill quickly. Go for the large fajita plate when dining with a date or family. You...
