When even your shyest kid comes out of a trial lesson with smiles and immediately asks to sign up for regular lessons, you know it’s a good place! Being brand new, I expected it to be extremely clean and I wasn’t wrong - even then was very nice to see how nicely the facility is decorated and kept. There’s a small play area for the kids if you arrive early and are waiting for lessons to start or if you need a moment to gather things together after lessons. Everyone was super friendly and helpful - you can tell some staff is still learning the system and certain information that I asked about but they’re all smiles and a little patience on our side goes a long way. The viewing area is functional and easy to see the whole pool regardless of where your child is in the pool. I had 2 kids in 2 different levels so on either end of the pool and had no issue in seeing what each was doing simultaneously. Highly appreciate that aspect of being able to schedule different swim levels at the same time. Daniel and Wyatt were great instructors according to my kids and I could tell they were able to build a great relationship in just those 30 min - loved to see all the high fives and positive reinforcement they were using to build each child’s confidence and sense of accomplishment. After lessons they have each child use the on deck showers and then they come out into the lobby area. We used the changing rooms which were great - roomy and plenty of them - loved the cute pictures on each. Having hair dryers was a nice touch too. Would’ve loved if they had those spinning water things to get some of the water out of their swim wear but plastic bags for wet items are provided. As we left we met one of the owners who was on the floor welcoming people and helping his staff - he was super friendly and enthusiastic which is a great sign that they really want this place to succeed. It’s not the most affordable activity at $38/class but we’re taking advantage of their opening deal and if kids seem to show continued interest we’ll stick with it for a while. Overall it’s a great place in a convenient location and look forward to...
Read moreWe enrolled my children at Big Blue Swim School, and I can confidently say it has been an exceptional experience from start to finish! The facility is state-of-the-art, featuring clean, spacious pools that are perfect for all three of my children.
The instructors are truly the heart of this school. Each coach brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, creating a warm and encouraging environment that helps children build confidence in the water. They are patient, attentive, and genuinely passionate about teaching. My child’s progress has been remarkable, and they look forward to their weekly lessons!
The instructors made my children feel very comfortable in the water and my daughters are very excited to go back and show off their new skills.
Additionally, the school offers a variety of classes for different age groups and skill levels at the same time! I am so glad it saves me time with simultaneous classes for my varied kids.
The communication from the staff has also been excellent. They keep parents informed about their child’s progress and are always available to answer questions or provide feedback.
Overall, Big Blue has exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a swim school that prioritizes safety, skill development, and fun, I highly recommend giving them a try. My children are learning how to swim but also developing a love for the water! Thank you Big Blue, for creating such a...
Read moreI've taken some time before writing this review after having my kid in several of the local swim schools including most of big blues competitors. We have had the best experience at this swim school. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. If you have to miss a class they let you reschedule at no additional cost. If you have questions about progress or process they have answers and are happy to discuss it. Aside from if you have questions, they constantly have a manager or leader walking around with a clipboard filled with notes on each individual student, they check in with the parents about how the student is doing and their progress and challenges, even when there's a substitute swim coach they come fully prepared with information about each individual student and their progress. We found other local swim schools to be rather disorganized, with a much less formal curriculum system, and amount to basically water-based childcare instead of focused swim instruction. Having experienced the program at several different local schools I would without any doubt choose to have my child enrolled at Big Blue over any of the others. Its...
