I usually go out of my way to go to the Starbucks in oakhill on 290 at hwy 71 because the past few years the westgate location has been awful for me with poor customer service from giving me wrong drink to putting milk instead of soy consistently and im lactose intolerant so i get a bad reaction to the barista sarcastically saying "what is there a spider on my face or something" when i just gave him around $1.79 tip. I had just found out a friend was in the hospital and was having a hard time with it and it had nothing to do with him.Very rude. So i decided to try again on the 8th of December after a year of not going here.It was early around 7am and i went through the drive through I ordered a quad vente vanilla soy latte which would come to $7.52 and She said $8.82 when i came to the window she charged me before giving me the drink and i tipped a dollar and the manager gave me 2 cups a quad cup separate cup from the latte? What the f??? I said i wanted the shots inside of the latte .I wanted the approx $1.32 difference back in cash that she over charged me she refused and gave me one of the $4. off cards. However the next day i used it and there was only $2. on it. In oakhill when they have made made slightest mistake they are super apologetic and offer the $4. off and theres the whole $4. on it. The lady manager short hair tom boyish sort of aggressive and loud had given me a hard time once before because i ordered espresso with soymilk and she YELLED at me like a child that she would charge me for a latte. I honestly just did not know the rules with that and she could have been nicer. I thought it was ok because i ordered the same thing the day before and the guy barista was ok with it and didn't say anything to me. That manager was very rude loud and combative. Every time i come to this location my drink is messed up. I will stick to going to oakhill 290 starbucks and drive out of my way. They are super friendly and sweet and rarely ever mess anything up.They have the best constumer service. At least until they get rid of that manager and...
Read moreVisited this location to meet with a teammate, as soon as I walked In the manager Sara had all eyes on me. I did walk towards the restroom since I drove an hour to meet my teammate at this location (biggest mistake), and the restroom was busy so I proceeded to sit down. Sara the manager then purposely walks to where I’m sitting and plops her bag right next to me does not respect my personal space or anything, and tells me if I want to sit here, that I need to order something. I proceeded to respond and tell her that I was waiting for someone and I would get a water since I respectfully want to be able to order when my teammate is here so we could order together. The manager Sara then proceeds to tell me I need to order more than that to be here. It felt really strange and I felt I was being racially profiled by her. Everyone else got to do what they needed to except me, when I drove a distance to attempt to be comfortable in an establishment that I spend tons of money on yearly. This is just unacceptable. Stand on your policies but have respect and know how to talk to people without being condescending or disrespectful. When I asked for the corporate number she stated to look it up and her name was Sara and continue to laugh at me as I walked out. In any other place or case, she could have gotten a good response, but Sara nor this location deserves for anyone to get out of character over sitting inside. So if you’re a business professional, and if you need to meet someone for work, definitely do not choose this location, especially if you’re someone of color...
Read moreI don’t recommend anyone coming to this location as the customer service here is terrible. I usually come in ordering food or drinks but since it’s been cold outside, I’ve been ordering a cup of hot water to go. The manager or lead, whoever she is higher up, yelled at me stating that I can’t “make food inside” when I simply told her that it’s just supplements. She assumed that I’m making food when all I’m doing is mixing my supplements together. First of all, I don’t bring outside food into a public place and instead of assuming, why don’t you ask what do I make at the table? I’ve always asked for water at a lot of Starbucks, AND never had any issues. Why does it matter what I’m doing if it’s not disturbing anyone? She should be more concerned about the store, and making sure orders are complete. This is also the same person who yells at her employees behind the counter especially when they are busy. If Starbucks has an issue with giving out hot water then that’s fine but I’m not doing anything to anyone while I’m at the coffee shop. I’ve been a loyal customer for years but I will not return to a location where a manager has an issue with what I’m doing at the table. Assuming things get you nowhere in life.
But besides this, I wouldn’t recommend this location. There’s always an issue here between customer service, lobby being closed at times, short staffed, overhearing that customer’s orders are made wrong, etc. Save yourself and just go to the next...
