We came here for dinner on a busy Saturday, and there was a little bit of a wait, but we arrived before the rush so it was good. We got a table fairly quickly, there is a ton of outside seating if you wanted to sit in the Texas Summer Heat, those tables were empty so I imagine you could get a table real quick.

Around 7:30 PM it got really busy and the wait seemed to grow. The menu had some great options, we got the lasagna bolognese and the teriyaki quinoa bowl. The food was good, but the portions are so tiny that most of us left hungry. The lasagna is not your typical lasagna if that is what you are looking for, but it was good. The teriyaki bowl was also quite good, but again the portions were so tiny that we were all hungry after dinner. For the price you are paying plus parking, it would be nice to get just 1.5 times the size that they are currently serving.

They will validate 1 hour of free parking, so make sure to bring your parking ticket to dinner. The atmosphere is nice, except if you are sitting in front of the door during sunset, it is absolutely blinding to the point where you can't open your eyes to talk to the other guests until the door is closed. There is limited to no seating to wait for your table. Our server was super friendly, but it took her a very long time to bring us our drinks. Nearly 10 minutes before we got just water. The alcohol was a hit or miss at times, the order would come quickly and other times the drinks were forgotten about until we were nearly through with our food.

The food is good, but the price and hassle to get here isn't worth it to me. There are great other healthy food type places in Austin, that serve you a healthy decent amount of food for the same price and don't require...

My guest and I ate lunch here for the first time, mainly due to their dedication to the use of healthy oils and whole foods. Let me say that we loved everything that we ate. It was all good and perfectly prepared.

We started with the Mediterranean hummus and grass feed meatloaf sliders. The hummus was served in a healthy portion and accompanied by some warm and moist flatbread. In addition we ordered some colorful and fresh vegetables (for $2. More) they were colorful, light, crisp and fulfilled our need for crunchy veggies. The sliders (2) arrived at the same time and delivered a big flavor punch for their small package. The nicely sized patty had a big burger taste, served on a flakey, buttery biscuit, with sweet caramelized onions, smoked Gouda and horseradish sauce. Although we didn’t taste much meatloaf but more burger, the flavor pallet of these combined items were perfect. We didn’t need to add anything, not even the provided au jus sauce. The salad was made of fresh crisp lettuce and vegetables that delivered a clean, well assembled flavor. The carrot ginger dressed was fresh and tasteful as well. My only critique here is the amount of chicken that was on (or shall I say, not on) the salad. I would have liked to have a bit more. Especially if someone is considering making this dish their meal. My guest and I shared these three items and both left feeling full.

The atmosphere was nice, clean, well lit, and at a good temperature.

The service was good, our needs were quickly met, dishes were coursed well and all with a smile.

We will be back, thank you True...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at TruFood in downtown Austin, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant yet inviting, perfectly complementing the delicious food and drinks that awaited.

One of the standout aspects of my visit was the incredible bar service provided by Vanessa and Hunter. Their expertise and enthusiasm truly elevated the experience. Vanessa was attentive and knowledgeable about the drink menu, offering insightful recommendations that perfectly matched my tastes. Her passion for mixology was evident in every cocktail she crafted, showcasing fresh ingredients and creative flavors.

Hunter, on the other hand, brought an infectious energy to the bar. He was friendly and engaging, making sure everyone felt welcomed. His quick service and knack for anticipating our needs made for a seamless experience. It was clear that both Vanessa and Hunter genuinely enjoy what they do, and their camaraderie added to the overall ambiance of the bar.

The food at TruFood was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing a commitment to fresh, wholesome ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a light bite or a hearty meal, the menu offers a wide variety of options that cater to all tastes.

Overall, my experience at TruFood was fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough. The combination of delightful cuisine, a lively atmosphere, and outstanding service from Vanessa and Hunter made it a night to remember. I will definitely be...
