I have eaten at TSO’s a ton since I had it for the first time about 6 months ago. It’s been largely good, keeping in mind my boyfriend and I have only ordered the vegan-friendly items. However, in that short time, with each order, the tofu has gotten both progressively and exponentially overcooked. Giving the benefit of a doubt tonight, we ordered again and my tofu is so hard and dry that I am confident that I could use it as a pumice stone - I know, gross, but I’m here to tell truths. I found two questionably edible morsels out of the 40-ish pieces in my sesame tofu. The saving grace was the spring rolls, which are always impeccable, to be fair. I do appreciate the zero dollar delivery and tip in lieu of slightly higher prices and the portion size is more than generous if it was edible. I will not order from here anymore unless I develop the bite pressure of a spotted hyena which is around 1,100 psi in case you were wondering. It is also disappointing that items have been added that are vegetarian, but cannot be made vegan. This is like telling a small child that you bought them a brand new toy, but instead of playing with it, they can observe it from under a glass cloche from 17 and a half feet away only on every third Tuesday of the month - i.e. frustrating. Regardless of the lack of choice, I hope the owners see this and can adjust the cook time with their employees because it’s just gotten to where I’ve wasted money on my last 4 orders (at least). You’d think I would’ve learned my lesson sooner, but I didn’t. I enjoy the flavor profile of the food, but I would enjoy it much more if I didn’t require the mouth strength of a hydronic press, or The Incredible Hulk. Unless TSO’s can correct this, or include a diamond plated mouth guard with which to chew, I’m afraid I’ll have to take my...
Read moreTso I decided to try this restaurant last night. After navigating the ordering Tsystem and placing an order and paying with my credit card I was all Tset to bring home dinner for myself and my two Tsons. I pulled up to the restaurant to find that I had to get out of my car (in the rain) to Tsnap an image of a QR code to contact the employees inside the building to let them know I was waiting outside. This didn't work Tso well, Tso I decided to ring the doorbell as well. After a minute or Tso the manager came to the door to inform me that my order could not be fulfilled because their Tsystem had crashed. Hmmm. I informed the manager that my payment went through and Tshowed him the transaction on my phone as well as the order. I asked the manager why they couldn't just prepare my order Tsince they had a kitchen full of employees and more importantly - because they had already been paid. The manager called the owner and was instructed to tell me that I will get a refund of my payment as Tsoon as possible. My order total was 58.46. I drove to Twin Lion where I ordered the EXACT Tsame items for $56.02. Twin Lion was delicious, busy, fast, and friendly. There was no techno-centric ordering and pickup hurdles that I had to navigate. It must have been a difficult night for the Tstaff at Tso. I was Tso disappoined. I imagine there were many more disappointed customers last night. By the way, I am Tstill...
Read moreUpdate 2/3/25: Food is decent. Some dishes are better than others. I have dropped my rating from 4 to 3 because for the price point, I should be able to customize my food order and they don't allow it. They really should have a program that benefits the customers more. Having to buy 25 dollars worth of food to get something free or to get a percentage off is crazy to me especially as a single person. I also wish they offered their crawfish and shrimp fried rice year around. I don't frequent them as much anymore because paying almost 20 dollars for rice and meat is not something I can do all the time. Also not every location cooks the food the same. -------‐-------
Discovered Tso chinese while living in the ATX city limits and love that they deliver for free and don't ask for tips. I also love how good and fresh their food taste and that you don't feel like your biting into grease when you eat the food. My only con is that I wish some of the dishes can be customizable such as their combo fried rice or have the option to add other meats to dishes. Looking forward to when they're able to open the one in Round Rock!! Currently, I drive all the way to Arboretum location to get food or have them deliver if I'm in town at work. One of my favorite menu items that seasonal is the crawfish fried rice. I wish it was offered year round. So...
