I’ve only found one perfect breakfast spot up north that truly checks all the boxes for me. This place didn’t even come close.

Vida Verde recently opened and there’s been a lot of buzz on social media, but it really didn’t live up to the hype. The pictures online are beautiful, but what you get in person is very different. Small portions and the prices are honestly too high for what’s served.

I ordered the skillet and it came out in a tiny pan with barely anything in it. Two weeks ago I had a farmer’s skillet at another spot with home fries, eggs, Polish sausage, cheese, and toast. It was a full, satisfying plate. This one felt like a side dish.

Our server was very kind and said the business is still new and open to feedback, which I appreciate. The place itself looks nice—lots of plants and clean decor trying to give off that trendy Mexican breakfast and lunch vibe.

What really disappointed me were the restrooms. For a brand new restaurant, they were already dirty and not well maintained. That says a lot about how the place is being run behind the scenes.

I travel all over Texas for work and love trying out new places. I might be back if the business can stay open and figure things out, but as of now, I wouldn’t...

One night ! Maybe about 45 minutes before they closed my cousin and I stumbled upon this GEM of a restaurant ! Usually ; when you go somewhere right before they close the workers are upset; they were sooooo happy to serve is in there ! I was so impressed with the level of customer service ! It wasn’t very busy and I hope that changes because the food is ALSO amazing! I can’t stop thinking about that mango guacamole and the Tijuana rolls …I moved out of the area but when I go back to visit this WILL be on my list of places to stop! The atmosphere was great, the decor is beautiful, it’s such a nice place with such nice people ! I called a couple of days after to give compliments to the manager and he was so sweet and appreciative!!!! He told me about the event space they have that can be rented out and they also have this patio with a window that opens all the way and you can order from the bar . It’s just awesome ! PLEASE...

We walked in to eat dinner around 6pm today and were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully immersive atmosphere. The decor was refreshing and the music was great! Our waitress, Lis, was amazing and had 10/10 customer service. We trusted her recommendations and were not disappointed! We ordered the mango guacamole & queso blanco as an appetizer. We then ordered the kickin chicken sandwich and steak tacos for our main course with street corn and bacon-cheddar mashed potatoes for our sides. We thoroughly enjoyed every single bite! The ingredients for each dish were super fresh and had great depth of flavor. I also tried the jamaica agua fresca and it was perfectly refreshing. We will be back to try more of the menu soon and highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for fresh, delicious...

Me and three of my friends came here on a Tuesday after my cousin who is related to the owners asked me to try it out. The food was amazing, we got two The Stack (chicken and the ribeye), Gourmet Burger, Wings, and Cheese Curds for appetizer. And my friends loved the dish they ordered, I got the Chicken Stack and it was delicious with every bite. We all also got Orchata and I kid you not we were fighting the urge to get refills lol, one of my friends gave in and kept getting refills. Our waitress was really nice and kept making sure everything was good and checking to see if we needed anything else like refills. Definitely going to spread the word and come back 💯 Thank you for having us.

What a fabulous little gem near the Domain! I dropped by for a Sunday morning breakfast on a recent visit to Austin and was completely blown away by the food. I had gotten in before they got busy and hence the service was lightning fast! The chilaquiles are a chef's kiss! I ordered them with some over medium, sunny side up eggs, chorizo, and hashbrowns instead of rice and beans! The sauteed chips were so tender and flavorful, and the chorizo added the perfect spicy, tangy kick. Paired up with some freshly squeezed orange juice, it was the best breakfast I have had at a restaurant in a while! Last but not the least, they had a killer playlist too! Can't wait to go back again!

Visiting Austin this week and have been to some amazing restaurants, and Vida Verde is added to the list! To learn they have only been open a handful of weeks was surprising as they had their stuff dialed in. Our waiter, Angel, was awesome, and it didn’t hurt that he was so adorable and has an amazing smile and personality. His service was top notch. We had enchiladas, chips and queso, house margaritas, and a Pineapple Jack. All was so delicious! Would highly recommend!
