I will start with I have been to roaring fork especially in the arboretum area for years. I moved to Austin in 2015 from California central coast area 805 and I have never experienced or witnessed so much blatant racism in my life. THAT IS SAYING ALOT!!!. This is not a me only situation. I was wondering why menus were thrown at me and my white boyfriend and delayed service. I am African (Nigerian) American and didn’t want to jump to conclusions so I assumed he just had a long night. WRONG a Hispanic couple came in mind you this man is wherein a ritz Carlton golf course shirt aka super professional and ordering iced TEAS!! The bartender ignored his request for a sugar tray several times in addition was verbally aggressive to his wife and him about closing out a tab and refusing to transfer to a table. Going back to my experience I ordered an order of guacamole and it came out ten to 15 minutes after the white couple sitting on the other side I. Addition we sat down earlier and he served and attended them before us. He was clearly sending a message to his customers of color. Also if you are looking for an elevated experience don’t come here. The bartenders NOW !! Look like they are from a trailer park and last time we were there my boyfriends card was compromised and someone went on fashion nova and spent 200 dollars on his card at fashion nova. I used cash app to track and make sure they didn’t try anything funny. I will tell you look at the staff and see if this is an upscale environment. This is like a Chili’s with a price tag. The manager BEN continuously tried to manage my emotions and tell me his balding bartender who looked like he had came straight from a clan rally wasn’t racist. Also I removed my 20 Dollar trip on my 95 bill because two people me and the nice Hispanic man was racially profiled and treated horribly. I will tell you this I make too much money to have someone who looks like they live in a trailer and smokes meth to try to act like I am Less than. You work as a bartender you are balding your girlfriend or wife you were giving free drinks too looked liked she climbed out of a trash can the whole situation was annoying. and this wasnt an isolated incident same day same bartender two complaints THE TAPE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT THE BAR !!! Racist are alive I. Austin don’t be fooled!!! Do not spend a dime at this place Ben the manager and the guy on the clip attached...

Unfortunately, very disappointed after having chosen this location for a special event for a group of just under 20 people. We made a group reservation ahead of time and chose their per person menu. The majority of the group arrived on time and had drinks prior to being seated at our table. Once we requested to sit at our table, we were there for another 20 minutes before the appetizers were brought out. I had to request that they be brought out. By this time, we've been therefore close to an hour with no food. Additionally, for a group of 20 the amount of food that was brought out for appetizers was not appropriate. Had the salad course come out shortly after it probably would've been OK, but another 20 minutes went by and I had to flag the servers down to ask them to go ahead and start taking orders and bringing more food. Everything felt significantly delayed versus having the servers monitor how quickly food was being consumed and moving to bring the next course. Again, I had to ask what the holdup was for our main course to which they let me know they were waiting until one person finished their salad before bringing out the main course which meant food was prepared and just sitting under a warmer waiting for one out of 20 to finish a salad. While the majority of the guests enjoyed their main course, the sides again which were supposed to be family style, were portioned for individuals not family style. I made the mistake of thinking making a reservation would mean we would be well attended. The servers barely engaged with our group. We had to get their attention to ask for what we needed vs. them being there to ask if we needed something. They frankly felt like food runners versus wait staff. For an evening that was meant to be celebrating accomplishments and honoring my guests, it felt extremely subpar. For the amount of money that we spent it's extremely disappointing. I would have expected a GM or an event liaison to greet me as the host and to make sure we had good service. Had they been there I would have provided this feedback in...

Roaring Fork in Austin truly lived up to its reputation for an exceptional dining experience. Getting to the restaurant was a breeze with ample and easy parking available. We were fortunate enough to be seated outside on the patio, which offered lovely views of Quarry Lake – a perfect backdrop for our meal. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the friendly staff and sophisticated ambiance. The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive.

My fire-roasted tenderloin was cooked to absolute perfection. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a delicious smoky char from the wood-fired grill. My à la carte side dish of sautéed asparagus was also perfectly cooked and a generous portion. My wife opted for the 3-course special, and each dish was a winner. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, the grilled halibut was flaky and moist, and the huckleberry cheesecake was the perfect sweet ending.

Our server, Shane, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. He was happy to answer questions about the menu and offer recommendations. We never felt rushed or neglected.

The restaurant has a stylish, upscale atmosphere with a warm and inviting feel. The patio seating provided a wonderful al fresco experience with the added bonus of the scenic Quarry Lake view. The noise level was perfect for conversation. At one point my wife commented that it felt like we were on vacation, albeit, it was just a very nice dinner.

The only slight negative was there was an unpleasant odor in the men's restroom. While it didn't appear dirty, the smell was a little uncharacteristic for such a high quality restaurant and may have been an isolated incident.

Despite the very minor issue, we had a fantastic experience at Roaring Fork. The food, service, ambiance, and convenient location with its scenic patio all contributed to a memorable night out. We highly recommend it for a special occasion or any time you're looking for a top-notch dining...
