I would be very mindful if you pay card here. The owner added his own tip without even giving me the option to even tip. He tried to blame the credit card system and show some random text saying it’s been happening all day. He was lying because if this was an issue: 1. You would inform the customer prior to paying by card that the system is automatically adding it (didn’t say a a word until I brought it up) I believe he thought he could get over on us and it’s clear in other reviews other customers experienced similar issues. Unfortunately, we all had diarrhea issues that night as well. Yes, he ended up giving me more than the tip back to try to make it right but it’s about principle and integrity. Doing right initially. Won’t be back and do not recommend.

Watched a band at C- Boys and had some awesome food from Weird Food which is located essentially in C- Boys side lot but Weird does have its own entrance from the sidewalk as well. The food was excellent and the gentleman managing the truck was delightful to speak with. I had the beef gyro with hummus and my wife had the vegan chickpea wrap. I came back during the band's intermission break and picked up an order of loaded fries as well which was very good! Highly recommend when you're in the neighborhood. Reasonable prices and fantastic food - a great combination!

Was visiting Austin Downtown and before returning to Houston, we went there to have dinner. Best thing is it is halal. I didn't see any parking, so we parked at street near the food truck. We ordered Falafel and Beef over rice. The food was actually weird, not the normal kind we eat. The rice had a biriyani flavor rather than normal yellow rice which comes with beef gyro. They also provide south asian Achari pickles with the food. Not saying it's bad, just weird. Falafel was a bit too dry though.

I really like this place and will be coming back. I found them while searching Halal, but they also offer a variety of other cuisines including Pakistani, Indian and Mediterranean. I ordered over the phone and they had it ready for pickup by the time I arrived. They also gave me clear instructions on where they were located and where to park to pick up food, which I appreciated. The food itself was wonderful! All VERY tasty. We ordered the beef gyro over rice, chicken shwarma over rice, hummus and they let me add a side of pakora (even though it’s not an option on the menu). All of these dishes were well prepared and my family and I enjoyed everything. Even the French fries are on point! And they have vegetarian and vegan options as well as plenty of carnivore options for the rest of us.

PRO TIP: call ahead to find out what else they have om offer. They sometimes have Biryani and other special dishes. They also have desserts (including Baklava)! These aren’t listed on their online menu but I was offered them by the very gracious host when I arrived to pick...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Chicken Shawarma Plate from the "WEIRD FOOD" food truck, and it was an absolute delight! The flavors and quality of this dish exceeded my expectations, making it a five-star experience.

Firstly, the chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness, the meat was tender, and the blend of spices was spot-on, creating a unique and memorable taste that set it apart from other shawarma plates I've tried.

What sets "WEIRD FOOD" apart from otheer Halal resturants is not just the deliciousness of their offerings but also the friendly service.

If you're a fan of adventurous and delicious food, the Chicken Shawarma Plate at "WEIRD FOOD" is a must-try. I'll be back tommorow to try more of their eclectic menu. Five stars...
