We’re officially obsessed with But First Donuts....

We visited originally after seeing their post online, and then came back not once, not twice, but several times — because each visit keeps delivering new flavors!

These aren't your traditional donut. They are LOADED bombolini's. Which kinda remind us of a malasada donut or jelly/cream filled donut, but there is something about their texture that is so unique!

Think mochi donut meets brioche — chewy, fluffy, dense enough to hug and hold allll that homemade creamy filling inside! The donuts are so fresh, covered in a sugary outside and are heavenly! You'd think they'd be super sweet based on the outside, but honestly they are so well balanced it's trippy and addicting!

We’ve tried several flavors and while each have been its own winner some of the standouts were:

-Orange Cream -Blueberry -Chocolate Brigadeiro -Apple Cider

Beyond taste, everything else is top tier too — the couple that owns the food truck is incredibly friendly and help you navigate the menu for recommendations if needed.

It's located at the Lawn on South Congress. Which is set up with other food vendors, picnic tables and umbrellas so you can dine there.

It's honestly tough seeing their weekly flavor releases, because we could eat them EVERY weekend!

But First Donuts is one of the best donuts we've had in Austin and highly recommend giving them a try! Whether you do or don't love sweets they seriously rock! We’ll...

If you haven’t tried But First, Doughnuts, stop what you’re doing and find this food truck on S. Congress immediately. This isn’t your average donut stop — it’s a full-on flavor experience crafted with love by a Brazilian woman and her husband, and it absolutely shows in every bite.

Their specialty? Bombolone donuts — pillowy soft, golden on the outside, and filled with the most luscious, creamy fillings you can imagine. The pistachio cream, tiramisu, and fruity pebble flavors are out of this world — perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and insanely addictive.

You can feel the passion and pride in every donut, and the owners are just as sweet as their creations. Friendly, warm, and always happy to share the story behind their treats.

Whether you’re a donut connoisseur or just hungry for something that hits the spot, But First, Doughnuts is an absolute must. Trust me — one bite and you’ll be hooked...

Run (and bike) to But First, Doughnuts at The Lawn—don’t walk…ok you can totally walk but just know you’ll want to reach these chewy pillowy sugar bombs quick because they’re insanely delicious. The soft AND chewy light, airy texture is unlike any donut ive had; the fillings arent too sweet—the pistachio is out of this world. I went back and immediately ordered another 🤣 The staff is so sweet and The Lawn foodtruck area they’re in is super chill with many picnic tables and umbrellas. If you want to drive, there’s Pay (in-app) parking right in front of the trucks on South Congress (by the Meteor) that is free Sundays before 1pm, or there’s neighborhood parking behind the Meteor and The Lawn food truck area (also metered app pay parking). What a cool spot! Grab a coffee at the Late Gator coffee truck: coffee and donuts *chefs...
