Usually, I do not write reviews regarding bad service because I work in restaurant management and have done so for many years, i know everyone has bad day amd every restaurant had off nights. BUT...last night what the WORST experience I have ever had as a customer in a restaurant. We eat at Wing Daddy's at least once a month. Last night, we went in at 10 p.m. My daughter and I were in no hurry to eat. It was 10 p.m. on Friday night and we had just left Chuck E. Cheese, so waiting was no big deal. The big deal was that NO ONE, including the manager, that I thought was the off-task hostess, greeted us. I realized, there was a party of 15 at the door, but they were all in baseball uniforms, so the 3 parties that walked in after them, stuck out like a sore thumb. I asked one of the servers if they had a host so we could get on a wait list or what ever their process was. I was tired of standing up at Chuck E. CHEESE. I would've been happy with a table and a drink. The server said they did not have a host. She said they were trying to seat the party of 15. Me, having my experience, scanned the room and saw a party of 10 getting up to leave with a 4 top empty next to it. I thought, well, they can pull the 4 to the ten and seat the 15 and we can be seated at the empty 4 top that was in front of us on the other side of the room. When I pointed that out, she said for us to sit down. I asked who their manager was, because with the amount of traffic flow, the fact they had no host, and the amount of disorder that anyone could see, the manager should have been standing at the podium, greeting customers and scanning that room. That restaurant is set up perfect for that manager to have done her job perfectly from there for a minute and toggled from FOH to BOH. The reason I thought she was an off-task hostess was because when the situation first became distressing, I looked up and saw a young woman skipping past us, never making eye contact. Then, she went to the server's station and she turned her back to the dining room for a good 5 minutes, dancing and snapping her fingers to music only she could hear. I am that type of jovial manager, so her happiness does not bother me, but when it is crunch time, a manager's is to work twice as hard as her staff. Her servers were in the weeds. The manager was dancing, empty-handed and carrying on conversation. Her floors were dirty, no greeters, and her servers were struggling. That is not managing your team. Once we sat down, she approached our table and placed both hands on our table and leaned into our table and asked who sat us there. I pointed out the server. At this point, she said it so loudly, the people at the next tables turned. I responded with all of the things I just mentioned. She smirked at me the entire time and said well, I am the manager and you can't sit down yet. I told her no one had greeted any of the 3 parties behind me either then I mentioned my own experience and said what she was doing was extremely unprofessional. Her response was, would you like to speak to my general manager. I said yes. She turned stood up and walked away. We got up and left before she returned only because my daughter was too embarrassed to stay. The customers around us were staring by this time and she was uncomfortable. While I understand the restaurant industry is stressful, we choose to do this job. Food makes people happy. To make their experience unhappy, is a disservice to the entire industry and to what the rest of us work hard to accomplish. The food is always amazing here. The drinks are phenomenal. The customer service should be stellar as well. I was very disheartened by my...
Read moreOur first visit here as the husband had heard good things about this place we decided to give it a try. I am always down for a good Chicken Wing.
We sat out on the patio, which is on the smaller side but nicely shaded and clean. Our waitress was super friendly, and of course I did not catch her name to give her credit here on Yelp.
They have an extensive drink menu with some very unique margaritas and their food menu is rather large as well, lots of options. I would definitely consider this bar food - so much fried foods!
They have many sauce options, more so than most places that serve Chicken Wings. My daughter had been here before so she knew that they would bring you any sample of sauce you asked for. We sampled at least half a dozen between us. They bring out the samples in a small plastic cup with a few french fries in each one to use to sample the sauce.
The sauces that stood out were definitely the Blackberry Habenero (delicious as all heck, sweet with a bit of heat - just not sure I would put it on chicken wings - maybe ice cream LOL), Tangasaurus (medium heat and my favorite), Blashpemous Bacon (smokey with bits of bacon in it and a bit on the spicy side, and Garlic Parmesan (not my favorite, I have had better elsewhere).
Between the thee of us we ordered:
-Queso and Chips: The chips were thicker and seasoned well, the queso was average, really thick but tasted good. -Wings (Bone-In): These are not breaded thankfully and they were huge. I had the Tangasaurus sauce and I absolutely loved them. -Boneless Strips: These strips are hugeeee, a bit thick on the breading but most strips are. They were good. -Onion Rings: These were perfect, not overcooked nor over battered. -Rib-Eye Steak Sandwich: My husband ordered Medium-Rare and the sandwhich came out with extra done meat so we asked the waitress to fix and she happily did. The french fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. -Bacon Cookie Pie: This was super rich and super deep fried. I was not a fan of this at all, after eating all the deep fried heavy foods for dinner, I took one small bite and put my fork down. The hubby and daughter liked it though.
We also ordered a Top Shelf Margarita which was more mix than anything and fairly weak and some kind of a Cucumber margarita that we actually had to ask if there was liquor in it as it was soo weak. Considering the varieties of margaritas they offer and their uniqueness, we were not impressed at all. Don't be so stingy with the liquor!
All in all, the service was good, the food was fair, the sauces are awesome, and...
Read moreHonestly i’m really not the type to care nor stress about giving low ratings, especially when it has to do with a restaurant, but i really have never been so disappointed in restaurants service like i was today.. not just disappointed but annoyed & this was my first time coming here. upon arriving we were sat at our table by the hostess.. we waited 20/30mins for a waitress to come no one came, and we were right in the center so it’s not like they didnt see us literally with nothing on our table. one young lady who i saw cleaning up after tables noticed us and asked a couple of times if our waitress came we said no, so she helped us, gave us our menu, asked us for our drinks, waited another 15 mins for our drinks to come and continued waiting for our food to come. when it did come it was good it tasted well made, although we didn’t get our fries we ordered everything else tasted good. at this point the reason i’m annoyed is the lack of communication from our waitress/ server, i tried to be considerate of the fact that it was super packed and hectic but honestly after an hr of waiting it’s like come on... decent communication would have been nice. as soon as our waitress finally checked up on us after we got our meals i just asked for a to go box and our check bc i just wanted to leave. just to receive our box was maybe like 5/10 mins? still didn’t get our check tho, finally after awhile we got our check... charged us for the fries, asked if she could take it off considering we didn’t get them in the first place, took another 15 mins bc she said ... “my manager is the one who handles taking off an item from the check, but he’s they’re super super busy, i’m so sorry” finally few minutes later we get our check and i hand her my card, i sign my receipt & we leave. like i mentioned before i tried to be considerate of the fact it was busy so i didn’t wanna blame the waitresses but from reading other reviews and actually having friends and family relatives tell me their experiences which it’s all the same as mine was tonight. seems like the service just is plan out unprofessional. i truly do feel bad for the waitresses there who more than likely have poorly management, bc i did see some of the waitresses working hard for other tables who had came after us and were taken care of right away. i won’t blame them per se, but yeah that is how i felt with my experience, the food was good but it’s not worth the service/ nor...
