The service is reminiscent of an absent leader or a lack of training, SOPs, or structure to the steps of service. I can only speak for the 2 times we have come to eat here. One was dinner (last week) and the other was lunch(today), and I can only speak to the team that assisted us with our experience. I am sure that they have some superstar guest service talent, but I have yet to experience them, yet. The food is good (obviously, we came back) but the service is sub par. Lacks connection, service culture and care for the guest experience. Both times we have come in the teams feels like they are lost, unorganized and all over the place. Like there have been no processes put into place on how the team should work together for a flow in the operation. Everyone is bouncing off one another, doing their own thing, like little ants behind the counter getting stuff done. When you walk in, there isn't a warm greeting or acknowledgement, when you get to the counter there isn't any personalized engagement or greeting and the checkout was just as transactional without very much gratitude for the patronage. Our dinner experience had a trainee on his own serving us, he was so lost he didn't know what was in the dishes, he was nervous and his fellow team were not speaking to one another or engaging or offering support. (He was let out of training too early to create a positive impact). At the end, the itemized charges were all incorrect and we paid way less for our meal than we should have which impacts this locations bottom line and profit. The lunch experience today was lack luster. The agent took awhile to greet us as all of the other employees walked past us and never once acknowledged our presence. Not even a simple, someone would be right with us. We were ignored just like the first experience. Once we finally got assistance, she was task driven, short and sweet, when I asked what the best dressing was, she shrugged her shoulders as she didnt know, all the while her manager watched it all, the only thing the manager(young Asian woman) said at the register was the hemp seed would be extra, not a smile, not a hello, not a how are you today, she looked at the bowl and looked at me with no expression and talked about extra charge of hemp seeds. I assumed they had just opened because of my past experience with a lack of organization and structure to the operation. To my surprise she said they had been open 2 years, I commented on how chaotic the operation is perceived by the guest and she ignored that only to tell me to enjoy my meal as she was already 3 steps away with her back to me walking towards the salad food line. This place could be GREAT, it is good, but Greatness comes with Great leadership and a buy in with the team to being excellent. *Tip. Maybe run weekly or monthly incentive with the team to drive guest engagement by offering $100 or some significant gift for the team members that receive the most positive reviews via all social review platforms and the team member that has the most mentions gets the prize. And announce it in the morning meeting, group text and provide pride and recognition which teams love and the money. Incentivize them to be memorable and watch them elevate. They lack care. Incentivize them and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've been coming to this location of Just Salad pretty much consistently since it opened like 3 or so years ago because it's close to our home.
Come here if you can tolerate the following: -Mediocre salads, that are incorrectly prepared half of the time. -Service that makes you scratch your head thinking "what's happening in here? How is a place run like this?" -You can show up here for dinner and be told by a manager "we're out of salad". This happened one night when we tried to order an arugula salad, they only had a limited amount of spinach.
We placed an online order recently and came in to pick up the order and we ordered two Pumpkin Bisque soups. The store employee told us they only had enough for one soup and said they could replace one with Chicken Noodle but we could contact "corporate" for a refund for one soup.
So we did, as this wasn't what we ordered and we were told by the store the process to get a refund. I contacted the Just Salad Guest Relations team by text and the agent was very rude and refused the refund despite being given the instruction by the store.
I'm so frustrated about being treated this way and we've been tolerating this mediocre location for some time now. We won't be back and I don't recommend it to anyone. Now we're left to try to fight the great soup debacle out with our credit card company to get a refund.. āā
Update on December 9, 2022:
The Just Salad Guest Relations team did contact me by review response and also called me. I spoke to their Director who apologized for any inconvenience and said they would coach their teams appropriately. They also told me there appeared to be some internal miscommunication about the soup refund and she said they would address this as well. She did provide us with a refund for the soup and also provided a future dining credit which I was very grateful for, and also was very grateful for their prompt response with trying to resolve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI try my best to stay healthy but sometimes I find salads to be somewhat boring but not at Just Salad. Thanks to Yelp Miami Elite Week, I got to experience a delicious and creative bowl and one of the tastiest avocado toasts I've ever had.
This Elite Week featured a half order of avocado toast, a salad, wrap or warm bowl, and a drink including shakes. I got the Crunchy Avocado and Warm Chicken Thigh with Goat Cheese plus an Almond Berry Blast. Before the feast, I actually ran into another Elite, Monica so we decided to stay and dine-in together. She got the Avocado Blast, Detox Cleanse Shake, and same bowl. My Crunchy avocado toast was good but the "Blast" was a flavor explosion. I think the pickled onions and poblano ranch had something to with it :) The Warm Chicken Thigh Bowl was also very flavorful. I added a drizzle of the Spicy Avocado on top and it added that extra kick which I like. It was also filling by the way considering it was mostly veggies. My shake was also delicious. Not too sweet and not too thick.
I was really pleased with this experience that I've already been back once and it won't be the last I finally can have salads that are flavorful and also close to my home. Plus, the store is spotless and plenty of parking. Will...
